Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue

GHGSDR is a volunteer-run non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing German Shepherds in the Greater Houston area. View our adoptable GSDs: www.ghgsdr.org

We do not have a facility/shelter; our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes. Our GSDs come from animal shelters where they were awaiting euthanasia, or from owners who legally surrender their dogs to us. All of our dogs GSDs need loving, forever homes and families to call their own. To see information on our available dogs, review adoption info, contact us, or to fill out an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.GHGSDR.org

Our sweet guy, Sawyer, is looking for a foster home! Sawyer is friendly with other dogs, well-behaved, and a total lovebug! He does have some lasting effects from previous malnutrition in his back legs, but it doesn’t slow him down. He’s playful and eager to please! If you’re interested in fostering Sawyer, please fill out our foster application at GHGSDR.org.

Check out pretty girl Patti! Her foster dad got her a new harness with her name on it, so now she’s stylin’. Patti is available for adoption and would love a home with experienced GSD owners. Her bio on GHGSDR.org has more info about her!

Welcome, Scout! This 5-year-old sweetheart was scheduled to be euthanized yesterday, but we managed to get ahold of him! He enjoyed his freedom ride today to Neighborhood Veterinary Centers - Richmond to get a checkup before he heads to his foster home. Stay tuned! Scout is going to be a great dog for someone!

Hello, Dolly! Please help us welcome her after we were able to save her from a euthanasia list. This petite girl is 2 years old, good with other dogs, and very sweet. While she won’t be at this weekend’s Meet & Greet so she can settle in, Maia and Patti will be. We hope to see you Saturday at Hollywood Feed Sugar Land from 1-3 PM!
