Can any foster or local rescue help our Class Clown who has been in the shelter for 385 days??

Fun facts about Alvin- he loves stuffies, playing fetch, walks well on a leash and being by your side! He would make the perfect protective detail for any single female because of his size.

Being an Animal Control Officer is one of the most thankless jobs out there.
Even though everything you do is rooted in protecting both animals and the community, the world often just sees you as “the dog catcher.” They don’t see the sleepless nights, the heartbreak, or the hard decisions. They just see someone taking loose dogs off the street, picking up strays, or enforcing laws that others choose to ignore—then blame you for the outcome.

But we see you.

We see the compassion, the strength, and the resilience it takes to walk into chaos and bring order. We see the heart that gets beaten and broken day after day, yet still shows up to do the work. The work that no one wants to do but that must be done—for the safety of the animals, and the people around them.

This week is National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week—and we want to say a heartfelt thank you.
Thank you to every animal control officer out there—whether you’re in a truck, in a kennel, or out in the field. You are essential. You are appreciated. And your work matters more than you know.
