🗞Our pups are sounding the alarm!🚨 We're critically low on newspaper, which we use daily to line kennels and make soft bedding for our puppies like Latte (left) and Brownie (right).

Have old newspaper piling up at home or work? We'll gladly take them off of your hands! Every donation helps us keep our shelter clean and our animals comfy.

Newspaper donations can be dropped off to reception during lobby hours and to the white bin in the front of the building at any time. Thank you for supporting our furry residents! ❤🐾

While our hearts break, we are praying for all of those precious souls who have been taken by this horrific event. Praying for the survivors, our first responders who are seeing things we never would imagine, as well as the families who are grieving. Privileged Pets has chosen to donate to Austin Pets Alive, a group taking in pets at this time, we hope our contribution will help in a small way to help the animals and the volunteers.

💔 Texas Needs Us – Let’s Come Together, Katy! 💔

Massive Flooding on July 4th Has Devastated Our State

On July 4th, severe flooding swept across multiple areas of Texas, leaving behind destruction, heartbreak, and loss. Lives have been lost, homes destroyed, and communities deeply affected — including right here in our extended Texas family.

Now is the time to show what it means to be Texan: strong, compassionate, and united. The City of Katy is stepping up.

DONATION DRIVE FOR FLOOD VICTIMS - Monday, July 6th - Friday, July 10th 2025

Multiple local businesses are joining forces to collect essential items for families in need. These businesses will serve as donation drop-off locations:

📦 Please donate items listed on the official flyer — every contribution makes a difference. Essentials like hygiene items, non-perishable food, clothing, baby supplies, and cleaning products are especially needed.

If you are unable to give items, please consider donating to the American Red Cross, who are already on the ground in Kerrville and other impacted areas, helping families in crisis.

Let’s lift up those who have lost loved ones and homes — and come together to support those who must now rebuild from the ground up. This is more than a donation drive. It’s a movement of hope and healing.

Help needed if you can..

🚨 EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED with flooding in Kerr County!

The Guadalupe River is overflooded and has caused loss of life and devastation in Kerr County. We believe there will be a lot of pets hurt and displaced during this, and our support is needed.

Our teams are already in Kerrville, providing medical care onsite and beginning to transport animals. We will be working with Kerrville Pets Alive over the next several days and bringing pets from the Kerr County shelter to APA!

We need your help! Here’s how you can support:

🚙 Volunteer to drive to the hill country to pick up animals and/or bring supplies, support the intake, care and placement of onsite animals, and/or help accept and sort supplies onsite at APA! for the next few days

🐾 Sign up to emergency foster a dog or cat to make space for incoming animals

📦 Donations of supplies like pet food (dog and cat, both wet and dry), pet carriers, tarps, and towels. Supplies can be dropped off at our Cesar Chavez location until 7pm today (7/4) and then again tomorrow (7/5) from 8am-6pm
