We raise and preserve the British Labrador Retriever that specifically is Sandyland linebred to preserve our favorite pedigree and type of labrador. Our Labradors favor more to the UK standard even though AKC registered since it is primarily an old time imported line we are trying to maintain through careful planned out-crossings and line-breedings. We have not had a litter since December of 2018

and as of now, we don't foresee anything for another 2-3 years. Fortunately, this time line has not been a hinderance due to the pandemic. We hope to carry on our line through our foundation bitch's granddaughter when the time comes. Our foundation bitch was Starquest Enchantress Of Moonlight Drive and our foundation sire was JMJ's Purple Reign. Their son produced a female that we look forward to at some pointing carrying on our x chromosome that is from a Sandyland Gaddabout son linebreeding (Lenche's Gallivant). We have a private facebook group for those with puppies already from us and those that wish to acquire one.

Strong possibility of a UKC show weekend coming up so went for some ring class practice. Hard to believe end of this month he will be 21 months old.

We currently have 3 Group placements in a row and I think we are officially accumulating "Breed points" for breed ranking! Hoping to add another group placement this weekend!? Time will tell. 🙏🙏🙏

April is here tomorrow. Hoping by the end of the month or early May we can get the "approval" nod legally, to move forward with our relocation to Nebraska (or Council Bluffs). Once we buy /move, hoping to add on some "girl friends" for Shadow as we hope to resume breeding our line of Labradors again.

Its been far too long since our last litter or maybe just long enough to learn some life secrets we never would have figured out had we not been put into such a situation. (my husbands cancer from the u know what thing)

Fortunately, we should be able to resume with a 3rd generation who is more second generation dna coi/gene expression wise. So that will be nice, moving forward with a 3rd generation whos genetically more 2nd thanks to being a "purebred".

Shadow will be age 2 end of July and the perfect age to possibly become a daddy-dog 🥰

**Bonus: he carries for chocolate 🤩

20 month old Shadow is on a roll in UKC!

His first time out in 2025 to a show happened last Saturday and it was his second time out as a Special in the Champion Class!

He walked away with his 3rd group Placement and his 3rd Group 4 in a row under the prestigious and long time Judge Matthew Proctor!

We are grateful for the event, the judge's award honor and the time hanging out with our Confo show friends!

Our son had his first Junior Showmanship opportunity yesterday and took home "Best Junior". All the kids were sweet and all were deserving of such title. It was a first time show for some of the kids including our son who handled a friend's Tibetan Spaniel. 🥰

Shadow has a fun Spring planned for some "events"...

2/22 (Saturday) our first "APRI" show. It's three shows in one day and the structure is similar to IABCA where the dog is measured up to the standard only and is given points. Not really sure honestly but it gives us some "real life" practice before the big AKC show two weeks later.

3/6-9 AKC Kansas City Dog shows - American Royal stadium - come on out! It's a good time

April - AKC Jesse James shows in Lawrence Kansas

May - UKC - Midwest Fanciers Club (Missouri )

June - IABCA - St. Louis

July - NEBRASKA

**If all goes as prayed and hoped for - possibly a bunch of fluff balls will be in the picture, come fall/winter 2025 or early 2026**

Things are slowly falling into place - - ducks are starting to line up in the order I need them to go. Hoping for a puppy breath late the end of this year or early 2026 out of Shadow.

I'll be acquiring the Special Lady later this spring before we move to Nebraska /Iowa area.

She should cycle later this fall.

Here is Shadow doing scent discrimination work last night. He had not done it since summer 2024. He was flawless! Did it twice and always found what was hidden. 😁

Randomly and unplanned found a photo in my fb feed of Shadow's father, a pup out of our Dec 2018 litter. He was originally going to be my one and only keeper from it. Obviously - that's not how things went but fitting that his son is going to be our new leading man for our future and hopeful Breeding plans.

I guess I had my pick down right, as this pup is the father now of a multiple Champion titled, group Placer(s) and performance titled son. 🖤🥰

Shadow's father currently lives in Nebraska - where we will be moving to!

Our Story

Welcome to our gallery of our Labrador Retrievers! We are formerly known as Skyhaven Labradors but after our matriarch passed away in an untimely fashion, we decided to rename ourselves, Zenith Labrador Retrievers, in her honor. Forever our beloved Warrior Princess: Zena.

We continue her bloodline through her sons, daughters and her nephew. Her nephew (Zeus) is currently our future leading man. He is having fun in the show ring currently. We look forward to his male descendants on occasion to keep our line of Labradors going.

Occasionally we may have Labrador Retrievers available for families and hunting companions. Our focus is striving for solid temperament, sound structure and strong retrieval drive if we do.
