Treats Unleashed - Shoal Creek Treats Unleashed started in the summer of 2002 with a batch of Apple Cinnamon Hearts at a kiosk in the mall. Today, Treats Unleashed is still 100% family-owned.

It didn’t take long before the whole family got involved by helping paint the first store in Chesterfield! From there, Treats Unleashed has grown to a total of 17 stores! Teresa’s father spent his career in animal nutrition and helped develop the recipes for all the treats on our treat tables today. Please give a warm welcome to the newest member of the team at Treats Unleashed HQ: Ripley! 🩷

It's only fitting that this sweet girl shares her name with a movie hero, because while four-legged Ripley hasn't fought space aliens (that we know of), she still overcame some big odds. Only eight months old and the runt of her litter, Ripley was actually rescued from the Virgin Islands with a group of other puppies and brought to the U.S. These pups were divvied up to rescues across the U.S. who could care for them, with Ripley finding shelter at Stray Recue of St. Louis.

Now a member of the TU buying department (right next to her new dad), all this lovely lady has to worry about now is what stuffie she wants to snuggle with at nap time. 🩷

Welcome aboard, Ripley!

Since 1998, Stray Rescue of St. Lous has been rescuing animals in need of medical attention, restoring them to health, and placing them in loving adoptive homes. Their amazing team helps give thousands and thousands of pets like Ripley a second chance at living the happy lives they deserve.

For many rescued pups, it's more than a bath and haircut. It's a fresh start. ❤️
Meet Noodle, a poodle who came into the care of Five Acres Animal Shelter as a breeder surrender. In addition to the fact that she'd had puppies and was also underweight, the condition of her coat was so matted and dirty that it was determined she needed to be shaved down for a start fresh and to see the condition of her skin underneath.
Five Acres reached out, and Theresa at Treats Unleashed - Chesterfield stepped up, having experience grooming rescued pups.
Noodle was cautious at the start, but as carpets of matted fur (including urine & fecal-soaked patches) came off, it didn't take long for her to relax. The matting extended to her face, tail, and even the hair between her paw pads.
All the while, Noodle let Theresa hold her, and even shared some thankful kisses.
"She's so sweet," Theresa said. "Who knows if she's ever been groomed before, but she knows it's helping her."
After removing the matted coat, Noodle received a full bath (with soothing oatmeal treatments for her skin), a much-needed ear cleaning, and a nail grind. She also received a haircut, cute hair bows for the road, and many hugs & treats from the TU team, who all fell in love with her sweet personality.
By the end of the day, not only was Noodle prancing around and jumping up for hugs, and also picked out her first-ever squeaky toy.
"I can hardly believe she's the same puppy," her foster mom Laurie said at pick-up.
Thank you to the amazing team at Five Acres for opening their doors to over 1,600 dogs & cats in need every year, and helping incredible pups like Noodle find their forever families.

Before & After: Yes, all these pictures are of the same pup.
When one-year-old Preston arrived at Dirks Fund, a rescue for retrievers and other large breeds, he had been surrendered by an owner who had developed health problems and could no longer care for him.
Upon seeing the condition of his fur & coat, his new foster mom brought him to Sandi at Treats Unleashed - Wildwood for grooming to get him ready for adoption. He definitely needed a nice long bath and haircut, but upon further examination, there was matting across his body that needed to be carefully removed.
Despite being in a new place and around new people, Preston was brave and let Sandi work.
"Everything seemed new to him," Sandi said. "He was afraid, and then I started removing those mats. Then he just relaxed into it. You could tell it felt so good."
Under all the dirt and tangles, there was gorgeous, affectionate Golden Mountain Doodle with the sweetest face in the world. Preston was adopted the next weekend into a loving home. 💜

Shoal Creek families & pet parents, please be aware that the Villages of Shoal Creek will undergo construction for parking lot improvements starting Monday, July 21st at 7 a.m. and ending Thursday, July 31. The project includes a full asphalt mill and overlay of the entire shopping center lot, which includes our Shoal Creek location. If you are planning to visit the shopping center during that time period, here is some helpful info:
-Construction will be underway Monday-Thursday.
-All drive lanes & parking will remain open Friday-Sunday.
-Any vehicles left in a work zone will be towed.
Below is a map showcasing the phases of the project and closures.

Our TU team members have been made aware of the construction. There will be no changes to our business hours. As always, if you would like to make changes to your scheduled pet wash or grooming appointment, please call us at 816-214-5150 and we are happy to help.
