Our next set of group classes are just around the corner!

Petiquette Silver begins Wednesday, June 26
Petiquette Bronze begins Wednesday, July 23
Both classes are six weeks long and meet at 7:15 PM on their respective nights.

Petiquette Bronze is our entry-level class, perfect for puppies and adult dogs new to training or needing a refresher. Petiquette Silver builds on that foundation and is the next step in our Petiquette Series!

Good afternoon, Collars family!

As many of you know, we experienced an electrical fire several weeks ago and have been operating on generator power since then. While we expected to be reconnected to city power by now, the process is taking longer than anticipated. In the meantime, our generator is due for a necessary service.

To complete this maintenance, we will experience a brief power outage tomorrow, Thursday, April 17th, at 4:00 PM, lasting approximately 30–45 minutes.

During this time, our phones will be temporarily down, but we’ve taken steps to ensure everything else runs as smoothly as possible. We don’t anticipate any major disruptions to our operations.

Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding! We truly appreciate your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Good Afternoon, Collars Family!

We wanted to share an update following the transformer fire that disrupted our power, internet, and phone services.

As of 10:00 PM last night, a generator was installed, restoring power to our facility, including lights, HVAC, and the water heater. We've also set up temporary internet in the lobby and for other essential facility functions via mobile hotspots.

At this time, our phone lines remain down, and the 24-Hour Access Room will be unavailable until further notice (hopefully not for long!). Repairs began today and will continue over the coming days as we work toward full restoration.
We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to KCFD for their swift response and to the many Good Samaritans who stepped in to offer help. We are truly grateful for our incredible community and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Hello everyone! I am the general manager with Collars Dog Resort. While some of you have heard that there was a fire near the facility today, it was limited to the utility pole behind the building and there is no damage to the main facility itself. All of the dogs (and staff) are safe and accounted for as the staff had an amazing response and the welfare of the dogs in our care.

Mostly, I want to specifically thank all of the people who AREN'T staff that willingly offered their assistance during this ordeal. These were people who, out of the kindness in their hearts, stepped in to help move and maintain the dogs/staff in our facility to guarantee that all were safe. All of you are amazing! I am blown away by the number of people who stopped to offer their help. This is what makes our community strong and I am glad to be a part of it. I only got the names of a few that were there, but ALL of you deserve our thanks. Please know that everyone that stopped to help us today is held dearly in our hearts.

I also want to thank the efforts of the KCFD that showed to keep the utility fire under control, and to the Evergy crews that are working diligently to restore service to the neighborhood and surrounding businesses. We should be back to normal in the next couple of days, but will update here as we know more!

Good evening everyone, this is Nate, the GM at the facility.

We experienced a transformer fire on the north side of our property. Thankfully, it did not affect the inside of our building, and all dogs in our care are safe and sound!

However, we have lost power, internet, and phone service. Our team is working diligently to restore these services as soon as possible.

We are excited to announce our new name, Collars Dog Resort! This rebrand is a change in name only, we still have the same ownership, management and staff to provide the same level of customer service and care you have become accustomed to.

Our new website is CollarsDogResort.com!

While we will be changing different business pages in the coming days to reflect our new name, our email addresses and phone number remain the same. The customer portal is still active to make reservations and update your dog(s) profiles.
