January 28th came and Hera went into labor having 4 babies. Then the unthinkable happened and her labor stalled, she went to the emergency room and they said she was fine. We ended up back there a few hours later and she had to have an emergency c-section. One of her puppies was not alive when they got to it but one was able to be saved. Hera and puppy number 6 we’re going to be ok.

Built her a whelping box and it was like she immediately knew what it was for.

Hera (with the white eye brows) was set to be spayed on the 15th of Nov. She surprised everyone by going into heat on the 14th; because of this and the higher risk of bleeding I desided to put off the spay untill after her heat. Trying to keep these two apart was impossible as much as I tried and I found out soon after she was going to have puppies. Tho unexpected and unplanned I hope to give these babies as good a life as possible and find them the best of homes. They will stay with me as long as it takes to make that possible.
