It is so easy when things are going wrong to focus on the negative ...then pretty soon that is all we see....its a downward spiral... those are the days that it is most important to try and focus on one little positive thing in your life...
When you are complaining about your kids driving you crazy.... be thankful they are alive and healthy as so many families are battling life threatening diseases...
When you are complaining about having a messy house and that you hate having to clean.... be thankful you have a roof over your head as so many have lost their homes in all these terrible fires...
When you are stressed and complaining about vet bills that your animals are racking up... be thankful you still have your animals as so many have lost their fur and feather family in all the horrific storms lately
Take a moment to breath and remember all that you have still... not all that you don't ❤

Love this 2 yr old

“ I threw in the towel...God threw it back and said “ Wipe your face... you are almost there “”

This is soooo true... how many times have we felt like giving up.... throwing in the towel “and waving the white flag
Sometimes there is a bigger plan for us... don’t give up on something you have worked so hard for and can’t go a day without thinking about it.... its ok to take a step back for a moment... but don’t throw in the towel just because something is more work than you thought... be brave and keep taking steps forward no matter how small they are ❤️
You got this!!

Just in love with this 2025 c**t

What a great time last weekend at Henry County Saddle Club AQHA show in New Castle, Indiana. This horse "Mycookiewontcrumble" has been one of the hardest horses I've ever trained. He's 14 now. I've had him since he was 6 for training. His owner bred and raised him. He's as stubborn as they come. I've had to "convince" him to do anything. My experience training OTTBS has really helped me with Cookie. You ask, don't tell a TB. Jennifer Wagner showed him a few times in Novice Amateur Showmanship and Adult Walk Trot years ago. The problem was getting him to canter on cue. It always took him time to think about it. We didn't think he would "give us" a full pleasure class with a canter. Jen got a new horse and continued showing her older horses, so we stopped riding Cookie for a few years. He enjoyed his time out with his friends and being a horse (which he still does). Because of a series of unfortunate events with Jens new horse, I decided for fun to pull Cookie out of the pasture and ride him. He hadn't been ridden in a few years. I couldn't believe the difference in him! I rode him about 11 times and we took him to this same show last year June 2024. I just rode him around. I've been riding him consistently since then but Jen has had some life changes (a baby! ❤️) so she has been unable to show him this summer. That's where Lily Schurr Amy Schurr come in. Lily is now a freshman in HS. She started riding with me from her first lesson many years ago. She shows hunters and jumpers. She helps me train OTTBS and our stubborn pony. She has a couple of her own horses at home. I've helped her with barrels and poles with her leopard appaloosa Skittles (who was also a really difficult horse to train). Skittles taught Lily how to be a "cowgirl ". She can ride anything. Just for fun I put her on Cookie early this summer. He's very picky on who rides him and how you ride him. Lily did great on him! She rode him off and on over the summer. Then we got this crazy idea to have her show him at an AQHA show. She's never shown western pleasure. She's not used to riding with 1 hand. She's only done 4H Showmanship with her horse Skittles.

So much to say about this group of riders and horses! I'm beyond proud of the job they did at Ledges B show this past weekend. 🥰🥰🥰

Jayla on Temple Zip and Aire on What do you Mean aka Tinder showed in .75 Modified child/adult jumpers. This was both girls first time and their horses first time at a venue like this. Both girls have trained their own horses (with weekly lessons and guidance from me). Jayla just switched to jumpers at the beginning of summer. They had some really great moments and some not so great. Both horses are tricky at times and very strong. Lots of good experience was gained! So proud of them!!! They adopted their horses from Galloping Out TB Aftercare Program. 🥰🥰🥰

Audrey and Jeff the Lion (Galloping Out) are preparing for the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover in Lexington Kentucky in October. She's going to show him in hunters and jumpers at the Makeover. She showed him in Modified Children's Hunter 2'6. We didn't expect him to win or place. He was there for the show ring miles. Audrey rode him so well! We still have some work to do but Jeffrey was a really good boy! He's amazing!!! 😍😍😍

Bella showed Prados Pl***oy in Limit Adult Hunter 2'. This was only her 2nd away show and she's never shown in 2'. She really did awesome! Pl***oy hasn't been shown away from home much. He still needs show ring miles. He was my Retired Racehorse Project horse in 2023. 🥰🥰🥰
Sophia Dubravec also showed Pl***oy in Beginner Adult Hunter 2'3. She hasn't shown in about 4 years. She did an amazing job on him! 🥰🥰🥰

Sarah Cordes-Leblebijian showed Charles Time (unraced TB) in Beginner Adult Hunter 2'3. She and Charlie haven't shown in over 2 years. Charlie had collick surgery last summer, so we've been bringing him back slowly. They looked so good!! They ended up Champion in the division and were 5th out of 15 in the Hunter Classic. 🤩🤩🤩

Cool and Collected aka Teddy is my Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover horse for this year. I brought him to the show to ride around and see things. He's coming along well! 🥰🥰🥰

We go to shows hoping to get ribbons, but that's not what it's all about.
