We apologize, unfortunately we will not be able to take new appts for a couple of weeks while we play catch up due to staff illnesses and planned trips which led to closures. If you were one of the over 100 appts we canceled, we will hopefully get back to you this week to reschedule once we know who can work when. We apologize again and thank you for your patience!

UPDATE: STILL LOOKING FOR A FOSTER!!

🆘 FOSTER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY 🆘

This 6 years old chihuahua/terrier needs a foster immediately. His owner is 97 years old. She can't care for him, so we're informed her daughter dropped him off on the side of the road. Fortunately, a good Samaritan found him and returned him to granddaughter. Unfortunately granddaughter can't hold him, so he's currently at a boarding facility. We need a foster immediately. We'll intake him once we find a foster.

He is chihuahua/terrier, 6 years old, about 10lbs boy. According to granddaughter, he does well with other dogs, cats and kids. If you can help him by fostering or foster to adopt, please fill out an application at https://hopefordogsrescue.com/Adopt

He's vaccinated, on monthly prevention pills and pending neuter.

Helping our community of animal lovers here on Oʻahu is what we do, but right now we urgently need YOUR help. Time have been tough for everyone and that has resulted in a significant increase in dogs in our care. This week, we reached a critical point in our capacity for dogs and we need to rely on our community's incredible compassion and kōkua.

To help alleviate space constraints, we are urging the public to participate in Couch Crashers. Couch Crashers our short-term foster program that gives the dogs in our care a break from the shelter environment and provides them with a comfortable temporary home while we accomodate the high volume of dogs needing our services every day. You can foster a dog for at least 72 hours and up to two weeks. For more information on Couch Crashers, head to HawaiianHumane.org/Couch-Crashers. If you're interested, check in at our Couch Crashers consultation table at our Mōʻiliʻili campus to meet with a member of our team who can help you find the best fit for your family.

If you've been considering adding a furry friend to your ʻohana, now is a great time because we're currently offering our Will You Be Mine Adoption Special. From now through February 19, adoption fees for all animals are $14 – including dogs of all ages!
