Hope (7) is a Golden Retriever from NC that started on a raw food diet 3 years old.
Hope is a participant in the Long Living Pets raw feeding study.

"Hope had allergies that caused her to chew her feet and around her tail until both were raw and red. We tried changing her food, first to a grain free kibble and then to a limited ingredient kibble (this was before I knew about feeding raw). The vet also prescribed medication. None of it worked for more than a few days.
After doing some research, I started cooking fresh food for her and then began researching raw food. That's when I met Krista Powell of , who was a huge source of information and support. We put Hope on Vibrant K9 raw and her allergies disappeared.
After a couple of years we moved from California to North Carolina and could no longer get Vibrant K9. We tried a few commercial brands of raw and finally found a local co-op and a high quality 80-10-10 raw food from Green Valley Pride farm in Alabama.
Every year since going raw, when Hope goes to the vet for her annual exam, the vet is amazed at how much she still looks and acts like a puppy. Hope is a certified pet therapy dog and she is constantly complimented on her super soft coat. Hope is also a registered member of the Morris Foundation Golden Retriever Cancer study.
My comment: Again we see how easy it is to fix health issues naturally. Allergies are symptoms of an underlying cause which in most cases can be eliminated by feeding what a dog is designed for; raw meats and bones. The body will heal itself permanently.
