Humane Society Volunteering Today!

I love coming here and working with everyone. From the staff, to the animals and with the other volunteers.

Today’s lucky readings were with coconut and shadow.

Both have come a long way since they first got to the shelter and both of them let me work on them with reiki energy and some pets!

Some insights from last months reading. Wade is a super climber, a ninja cat and loves showing off his skills.

Through Kimberly’s compassionate communication, we continue gaining deeper understanding of what our shelter animals truly need to feel safe, comfortable, and happy. With Earthly Insights—where our pets are thoughtfully read each month—we learn more about their personalities, their comforts, and the little things that help them feel like themselves again.

Duke is a strong yet soft-hearted boy with a natural protective instinct and a deep desire to bond with his person. He thrives with space, especially enjoying time outdoors and the feel of grass beneath him. Duke prefers a calm environment where he can have his space and settle in comfortably, forming a loyal connection with a steady, confident human.

Wade is a high-energy, athletic cat with a curious and playful personality. He loves to climb, explore, and stay busy—truly a “super cat” who thrives with enrichment like towers and obstacle courses. Clever and expressive, Wade shines brightest in a home that embraces his adventurous spirit and keeps him engaged.

We’re so happy to share that these wonderful animals have been adopted! Through Earthly Insights, we were able to better understand Duke and Wade—supporting them in ways that honored their personalities and helped them feel secure, enriched, and truly seen. 🐾✨

Our next Companion Care Collective Group will be held on May 13th at 5:30 PM 🤍

Our next gathering will focus on one of the most tender and difficult parts of the journey—the decision and the “when.”

This will be a gentle, supportive space to talk through the emotions that come with these choices, including conversations with your vet, anticipatory grief, and finding clarity around timing.

We will also share meaningful ways to honor this stage with your beloved companion.
