Emotional presence and control. Is a trait i admire in others and highly value.
It’s pretty hard to get a read on someone just in general at least for me, feel like people can perform pretty great when the waters calm, hide what’s on the inside. But say you get them in a situation with circumstances they can’t control or at least feel they can’t and you get a real sense of what you have pretty immediately this is no secret. It’s been done for ages. Things will come out, fear, anger, frustration, bitterness, shutting down, ignorance or excellence and self expression along with any other boat load of things a person could be hiding from themselves. The thing it depends on is you being present and prepared and open to what happens, I love that! It’s not something you finish it’s a daily practice of choices. That’s a place i actively pursue and there are a lot of things i subject myself to deliberately to help. The horses help me work at that every day, they truly are an honest measuring system if you don’t make excuses and it’s so fun to share with folks that are into it. Plus it’s great to have a barometer to help you see what’s actually in front of you. Just because your eyes are open and looking at something does not mean you see what is there. More and more it seems like the tongues are faster and what comes off of them weighs little.
Anywho go get it! Chase down the things that may trouble you, help your people, I’ve always been a fan of hunting things down rather than waiting for them to find me when I’m unprepared.
It’s not if trouble will ever come, it’s have you done the things so you can be who you need to be in the moment! Have a great day!

Second ride on this awesome filly we raised on the .est1899 . This filly Is out of our in house stud Tags and out of a great mare. We are so pleased with the colts he has been producing. The amount of bone, depth, and disposition he is steadily producing is such a blessing. All of his colts we have worked so far have also showed a fair bit of athleticism and a strongly trending towards better movers.

Yesterday we did a little more clean up. Looking like I’ve got one more trip down south and we should have things how we like them. We hit maximum capacity for the trailer. The morning started strong with some blessings of 3 head on Flatish county. After that we run dry for several hours following tracks and looking at rocks. About the time we never thought we would see a cow again, we found a nice little bunch. Worked out pretty well, we got all of what we saw. Only got a little video as i had some technical difficulties but a wonderful day to tie beef down.

This past week i got to spend a little time in town visiting with folks and some horses. These folks have a tough job and big hearts. The people working or volunteering here spend their time with horses that haven’t always had the best go at life with the goal of getting them healthy and confident enough to be adopted. It was very enjoyable to get to share my perspective and help them better understand what some of these horses were looking for. Thank you for the work that you guys do and the perseverance that you foster.
