⭐️Paradise Animal Clinic Jr Highlight ⭐️

✨Jordyn rae (daughter of veterinary assistant Noe) pictured with shelter dog “Poe” for a Kekaha Elementary School Aloha Project!

✏️About the Aloha Project:
5th Graders at Kekaha Elementary School were assigned to use their imagination to perform their own “Act of Aloha”in our local Kauai community.

For her “Act of Aloha,” Jordyn rae visited the Kauai Humane Society and donated towels, toys, treats, and best of all…cuddles to “Poe”and other animals!!! 💕🐶

Paw-some work Jordyn rae! Let’s all embrace the value of Aloha in all that we do🐾❤️

Did you know our clinic cat Fred saves lives? 🦸🏻‍♂️🐾🐱

Thanks to Fred’s blood donation🩸Dr.Nishimoto and our team were able to perform a life-saving blood transfusion on Pele following a suspect rat bait poisoning!

We are happy to say that Pele is responding well to treatment thanks to Fred and our amazing team! 💕

🌟Angel Fund Spotlight🌟

Mindy was brought into the clinic for frequently using the bathroom and blood in her urine…What was going on with her? 😣

With the use of an ultrasound to visualize her bladder, Mindy was diagnosed with a large bladder stone! The bladder stone was causing chronic irritation and inflammation to her bladder; resulting in blood in her urine and a constant urge to use the bathroom 😱

Following her diagnosis, Mindy was scheduled for surgery to remove the stone from her bladder via a procedure called a cystotomy 🏥

We are happy to say that Mindy made a full recovery and is enjoying her special diet to help decrease the chance of future bladder stones 💛

Mahalo to our generous clients and members of our Kauai community who have donated to our Angel Fund to help patients like Mindy ♥️

✨Paradise Animal Clinic Patient Highlight ✨

Gus, the Shih Tzu (pictured right🌻), was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune condition; resulting in a severe, life-threatening anemia (low red blood count).

His last chance at surviving his condition came down to a risky, yet life-saving blood transfusion. Although scared, Gus’s pawrents made the decision to proceed with his blood transfusion to give his body a fighting chance to respond to his treatment. 💪🏻

We are happy to say that Gus survived his life-saving blood transfusion, is stable, and responding well to his current treatment. 😍🐶

A big mahalo to our amazing Paradise Animal Clinic Team 💕 and a special mahalo to our blood donor 🩸Hunnie, the PitBull (pictured left 🍯), for having blood as sweet as honey to save Gus ❤️🐝🍯.

Our Veterinary Assistant Noe performing X-rays on a tortoise 🐢

☢️X-rays are used on tortoises to diagnose and assess various conditions, including injuries, internal diseases, and to monitor the health of captive populations. They are particularly useful for evaluating the carapace and plastron (shell), internal organs, and for detecting egg binding 🥚
