🚫 Grapes contain a compound called tartaric acid, which can cause acute kidney failure in dogs even in small amounts.
🚫 Macadamia nuts are very high in fat, which can upset a dog’s digestive system and lead to pancreatitis. They contain compounds that may also affect a dog’s nervous system, leading to symptoms such as weakness and incoordination.
🚫 Chocolate contains caffeine and theobromine, both of which dogs are unable to metabolize. The higher the percentage of cacao, the more toxic.
🚫 Xylitol is a sugar substitute that’s found in many products, including chewing gum, candies, and peanut butter. Ingesting even a small amount can cause a dog to experience a rapid increase in insulin release, which can lead to hypoglycemia, seizures, and even liver failure.
🚫 Onions contain a compound that damages red blood cells, which can lead to anemia.
🚫 COOKED bones become brittle and easily splinter, posing risks like choking, internal injuries, and digestive blockages.
