Update #1: Griffin’s Fight Continues — Thank You for Standing With Him

Griffin remains in critical recovery and is receiving around-the-clock medical care. His wound requires daily monitoring, follow-up cultures, bandage changes, medications, and close supervision to prevent infection and complications. While his injury is severe, Griffin continues to show incredible resilience—handling each day with gentleness, patience, and a quiet strength that amazes everyone caring for him.

Griffin is a 15-month-old Dogo Argentino whose life was just beginning when severe neglect left him fighting for his health. Instead of safety and stability, Griffin is now enduring weeks of intensive medical care for a devastating wound that nearly cost him his leg—or his life. Through no fault of his own, Griffin was relinquished just days before Christmas and left without financial support for the treatment he desperately needs. On December 21, 2025, just a few days before Christmas, Griffin was officially relinquished by his owner. Earlier this month, Griffin’s owner left for an extended vacation, knowingly leaving Griffin and his sister, Ahsoka, in the care of a dog sitter with no experience handling this powerful and sensitive breed—and with no backup plan.

At the time the owner departed, he was fully aware that Griffin already had a severe wound on his foot—a wound that was worsening and required close monitoring, medication, and consistent care. Despite this, the owner chose to leave, placing Griffin’s health and safety at serious risk.
Griffin’s recovery depends on uninterrupted medical care over the next four weeks. Any delay or interruption puts him at risk of infection, complications, or permanent damage. Despite the neglect, pain, and instability he has endured, Griffin remains a picture of goofy resilience, exuding a quiet and steady strength as he perseveres through it all. He is still trusting, still gentle, and still hoping for kindness.
