Flew The Coop 💕

Goodmorning everyone! I have this little Chocolate Paint Showgirl Silkie. She came from sexlinked parents so she should be a pullet. HOWEVER, I have not yet grew out enough chicks from this pairing to be 100% sure. I can not use her for my breeding because of her extra slow feathering, a defect she has in her feathers, and light eyes. I was told it may molt out so only time will tell. Let me know if interested. I hate rehoming singles but I do not have another to go with her. Preferably go to a home with same age as her.

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA kids started school, the heat’s been brutal, and I’ve been running on only coffee. Today I finally got around to rearranging pens and ohhh my was this chocolate pullet givingggg. I’m obsessed with her and her sister. Spring can’t come soon enough!

Surprise! It’s a girl…Georgia the Dog!
We went to the pet adoption event at the Riverside Animal Shelter “just to look”… and well, we came home with this sweet girl. All adoptions there were free and include a microchip, vaccines, and spay/neuter such an amazing opportunity! My step-son Abel picked her out and begged me to bring her home. He’s been doing an awesome job helping out and taking responsibility when he’s here, and honestly, I’m proud of him. Georgia has been settling in beautifully. I usually don’t post about pets unless I know they’re staying and it looks like Georgia is officially part of the family. We’re still working on setting boundaries with the kids (open to any advice lol), but so far, so good. Crate training was rough at first, but she’s doing great now. She’s picking things up so fast and she already knows how to potty outside, sit, heel, and come! We’re working on more, but wow… she’s seriously smart. We also still have Canela residing at my moms and my cat who is also here with us. Canela will be coming with us as soon as we have the bigger space. Right now she’s enjoying her time chasing squirrels and keeping guard on the chickens!

I know we’re deep in the summer heat, but I already can’t wait for spring! Watching my juveniles grow is such a joy and ...
