I can't recommend as a dog trainer and someone who owns dogs this book enough! For those looking for a well written book with step-by-step directions on training towards tricks. 10/10

Did you know AKC have a title for tricks with your dog! Novice Trick Dog (TKN)- Your dog performs 10 skills from the Novice list. OR If a dog has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate or title on record at AKC, it can do 5 Novice tricks (CGC + 5) to earn the Novice title

The biggest excuse I hear with training dogs is “I don’t have enough time” hey I totally get it life is chaotic and busy even 15min can seem like a challenge throughout the day, so I ask could you do 5min? 5min dog training is still a lot and can accomplish so much instead of no training at all.

So if you are feeling overwhelmed training wise, focus on a positive solution. ~ Honsinger Shepherds

We train owners just as much if not more than we train dogs. 🐾

Honsinger Shepherds every Saturday 11am hosts a puppy class for young canines and their owners. Rascal is a Border Collie who is working on being natural and focusing. Dog training is very much a journey, it will teach you how to slow down and be patient with your canine and yourself.
