After a stretch of chilly days, Bonnie is finally back to doing what she loves—basking in the warm sunshine! She’s hopping with joy, stretching out, and taking in every golden ray. Nothing beats a sunbathing session after braving the cold!

🐐🥔 Oscar the Couch Potato 🥔🐐

What started as bottle feedings and barn snuggles has turned into full-blown couch domination! Oscar has officially traded the pasture for pillows and is living his best life as a professional indoor goat. Who needs grass when you have a comfy cushion?

Tonight we came home to our 2nd and 3rd set of twins (or triplets and singleton). Two kids were cold and limp but breathing. We had moved the two nannies to the barn with heat lamps knowing that they were going to kid soon but it was still too cold so we had to move the nannies and twins to the warm coop with the southern hemisphere critters. After we dried them and gave them all a little colostrum, they were much more lively. Our 1st set of twins are pictured last. They are growing quickly and active!

Our friends from the Julesburg assisted living came this morning for our first ever farm tour! I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted but it was a fun morning showing off all the animals. And Corey was able to do his favorite thing - talk and teach😄 Can’t wait for the next time and hopefully we will have some new babies on the ground! 🦬🐂🫏🦙🦘🐐🐢🐕🐈‍⬛🐓

Everyone loves sweet potatoes🍠and apples🍎! Once or twice a week, we chop some treats for the animals. And of course Boomer and Shelly get romaine lettuce🥬.
Side note: I can’t wait for the flies🪰to be gone.

Corey already made the announcement but on July 11th, we had a white bison bull🦬calf! He was the perfect surprise to end our fun and busy week!

Last but not least, is our new red kangaroo🦘named Bonnie! She is the reason we made the trip to MO….Hank and Larry were just bonuses😍 Bonnie is SO sweet and lovable. And of course, Farrah is her person. Farrah is like a marsupial whisperer. She will make a wonderful companion for Boomer.

Have you ever seen something so ugly that it’s cute? Well here you go! This is our llama🦙Larry! He is so friendly! He follows us around like a puppy dog, meows like a kitten and does NOT respect personal space. Oh and did I mention he has the SOFTEST hair?!?

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Corey, Farrah and I drove to Macon, MO to the Lolli Bros Auction to look for some new pets to add to our funny farm. We came home with 3 new animals. The first one is our baby doll lamb, Hank! 🐑

This is Lucky! He had a very difficult beginning. We weren’t sure if he were going to survive or what kind of deficits he would have but here he is happy, healthy and thriving. Not a lot of traumatic births have happy endings so he is definitely one we will celebrate. Lucky will be one year old on March 21st!
