Interesting read on how rough stock is fed at the NFR. 🐂🐴

The bucking horses and bulls selected to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo must overcome a major obstacle in order to perform at their best in Las Vegas.

NFR stock contractors are not allowed to bring their own feed nor are they allowed to feed their own animals like at normal rodeo throughout the year. The NFR Livestock Superintendent is responsible for gathering the options each stock contractor selects and making sure each animal gets fed correctly while in Las Vegas for the NFR. Majority of the NFR stock contractors will swap feeds on their NFR selected animals at the ranch before they arrive in Las Vegas.

- Crimped Oats
- Omalene 200 Textured
- SteakMaker 12 Textured
- Country Acres All Stock Sweet Textured
- Impact Horse GMX (Dry Grain) Textured

Hay Options:
- Alfalfa

- Alfalfa/Grass Mix
- Costal

Lick Tubs:
- Horse Equi Tub
- Bull Stress Tub

NFR stock contractors are able to give feeding instructions of how many pounds per head and how much hay they would like their animals to be fed while in Las Vegas.
