Our shelter is experiencing an influx of underweight puppies and adult dogs, and we urgently need supplies to care for them.

We have two male Labrador Retrievers that were picked up by Poteet Animal Control on Boyd and Kelly. They are now housed here and will be on stray hold for 3 days.

Gender: Both Male
Picked Up: Boyd & Kelly, City of Poteet

Both have collars – these boys have to be owned!

Last year, we cared for 1,973 animals and achieved a 60% Live Release Rate thanks to adoptions, rescues, and reunites.

✅ 490 adoptions
✅ 420 transfers to rescue
✅ 149 pets returned to their owners

I’m just under a year old — basically a teenager with energy, curiosity, and dreams of freedom. I’m a medium-sized terrier mix (under 40 lbs), which means I’m the perfect size for couch cuddles AND backyard zoomies. But instead? Life hasn’t always been kind to us. We came from a cruelty case, but through it all, we’ve stayed gentle, hopeful, and full of love. Poe is 5 years old, Nelly is 2, and every day we dream of a home where kindness lives.

We promise we’ll be easy:
