We're thrilled to team up with Dragonfly Veterinary Services to offer a low-cost spay and neuter clinic on Tuesday, September 16, 2025! This is a fantastic opportunity to take care of your furry friends at a reduced cost.

📋 To qualify, you must:
-Be a resident of Atascosa County
-Have a pet that's at least two months old and weighs at least
two pounds
-Ensure pets are free of hair loss, eye, or nasal discharge
-Limit two pets per household

Please note, space is limited based on species, gender, and weight. Submitting a request does not guarantee a spot, so act fast!

Hello, wonderful supporters! Our shelter is currently home to several adorable puppies and dogs who would truly benefit from canned food. 🐶🥫 With so many wagging tails to feed, we could use your help in ensuring they receive the nutritious wet food they need for a happy, healthy life.

REGISTRATION-
Starts August 19th at 8:00 AM!
EMAILS THAT ARE SENT IN BEFORE 8:00 AM will not be considered.

TO QUALIFY, ALL OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE EMAIL.
Any incomplete emails will be considered null and void.
If you receive a spot in the clinic you will be called no later than the evening of August 28th. If you do not hear back by then, you did not secure a spot.
Please do not send multiple emails.
If/when you receive a call, you will be given instructions on the location and time of the clinic. You will also be given instructions on how to pay via Cash App, Venmo or PayPal!

UPDATE: Reclaimed by Owner 🎉

This lovely girl was picked up by City of Poteet near Loop 282, close to building #6. She is currently lactating, and we believe her puppies may be nearby. If you are the owner of this dog or have information about the owner, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can help reunite her with her puppies promptly.

🐾 Grateful for Our Rescue Heroes! 🐾

We’re thrilled to share some heartwarming news! Today, we joined forces with the amazing teams at the San Antonio Humane Society and Texas Chihuahua Rescue, Inc to save 20 precious lives. 🌟

A big thank you to the SAHS for welcoming 2 large dogs (Boston & Aspen), a tiny neonate puppy, a teeny neonate kitten, and two loving mama cats with their adorable 8 kittens. ❤️🐶🐱

Hats off to Texas Chihuahua Rescue for taking in 6 small dogs, giving them a new lease on life. 🐕

Rescue partnerships like these are vital in saving lives, and we’re incredibly grateful for their dedication and compassion. Together, we’re making a difference, one paw at a time. 🐾
