The water from a fire hose does not mix with the tar, gases and soot in the smoke, so those water repellent products of combustion are pushed with the force of the flowing stream of water from the fire hose. Those products of combustion are deadly and kill more people than the fire does. If the water from the fire hose contains a foam SURFACTANT that will stick to the tar, gases and soot, then the weight of the water will cause the products of combustion (smoke) to fall out of the air and flow on the floor and out the doors into the yard and street and not into people's lungs and bloodstream. And if a CAFS foam system is used to create tiny bubbles from the mixture of surfactant and water the bubbles will stay wherever they fall and create a v***r blanket that covers and protects the solid fuels from turning into gasious flammable v***rs, toxic smoke and fumes. That will save MORE LIVES and property and protect the environment.

I USED TO EXTINGUISH THE LANDFILL FIRES THE SAME WAY I DID THE Coal Mines. ALL LANDFILL FIRES CREATE CANCER CAUSING CARCINOGENS. IF YOU SMELL IT THEN THE CARCINOGENS ARE ALREADY IN YOU BLOOD.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T VENTILATE A HOUSE FIRE?

The same thing happened with the COALMINE Fires I have extinguished. A coalmine doesn't have doors and windows to break open or roof to cut open, so I could control the below ground environment. Obviously the fire consumed the oxygen but no one knew I was intentionally feeding the fire with a controlled amount of injected air so that the oxygen was turned into CO2 and when the air was turned off the coal fire changed into a FUEL RICH environment that was too rich to burn and the CO2 gas that was created by the combustion of the oxygen kept the positive pressure in the mine from cooling a sucking in more air from the cracks in the coal seams. Then my coup Degrassi was my compressed air FOAM that cooled and removed the smoke and flammable gases out of the mixture of gases in the mine. And finally the mine went back into commercial production, and I bought a twin engine airplane.

The foam does not push the fire gases like a water application does. The SURFACTANTS in the foam does not turn the flames we see into toxic flammable GASES and push it back into the rooms where the victims will be dragged into it. The soap (surfactant) CLEANS the air and cools the heat quickly. The steam ventilates the rooms with water and surfactant by creating a positive pressure in the building. No SMOKE no fire. Let the bubbles do the work.

I HAVE A QUESTION THAT ALL TAXPAYERS SHOULD ASK THEIR ELECTED CITY OFFICIALS.

HOW MUCH DOES EACH GALLON OF WATER COST TO FIGHT A FIRE?

THAT INCLUDES THE BUDGET FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, THE COST OF EACH FIREFIGHTER, EACH FIRE TRUCK AND SUPPORT VEHICLES, FIRE EQUIPMENT, INSURANCE, UTILITIES, FUEL, MAINTENANCE, FIRE HYDRANTS, WATER PIPELINES, THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. AND SCIENCE AND STUDIES PROVE ONLY 5 OR 10% OF THE WATER THAT IS APPLIED TO A FIRE IS EFFECTIVE TO COOL THE Flames.

Now think about fire department tactics, cutting holes in roofs lets rising heat out of a building, but it also draws in new oxygen from below the holes that increases the fire below the roof where the people that get killed are located. So there needs to be more water to cool the new flames which causes more smoke and deadly fire gases that kill more people than the flames do. Very few people will admit or even think about firefighters causing the flames to become the incomplete combustion (SMOKE INHALATION) that kills people, but that's what water does to flames.

SO IF ADDING A SURFACTANT (FOAM) IN THE WATER MAKES THE WATER 5 TO 20 TIMES MORE EFFECTIVE? WHERE'S THE PROBLEM?
