Did you guys know we rescued a Pig?? 🐷

We did and his name is MOO.

MOO (he’s keeping his iconic name) has officially been ADOPTED!

This is our first pig adoption in a long time, and we are so excited! MOO is somewhat of a celebrity here in the Hi-Desert and was often spotted roaming around town 🐖 In fact, he found his way to our shelter more than once — despite living several miles away!

MOO was immediately placed in an amazing foster home while he awaited his very special neuter surgery. As a cryptorchid pig, his procedure required the expertise of a large animal veterinarian, and we are so grateful everything went smoothly. ✂️

Even better? MOO got to recover exactly where he belongs — in his forever home. 🩷

He now spends his days living the good life with:

2 piggy brothers 🐖
3 goat brothers 🐐
2 dog brothers 🐕
2 dog sisters 🐕

After quite the journey, MOO is finally HOME… for good 👍🏼

Joshua Tree No-Kill Shelter will be at Tractor Supply Co. semi-annual National Pet Adoption Day event on:

Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
at 57980 29 Palms Hwy Ste A, Yucca Valley!

Come meet the star of our shelter pups — SPURS! 🐾

We’ll also have another shelter resident joining him… we’re currently trying to decide who can be his best accessory. 😄

Please help spread the word! The event will be held inside the store, so it’ll be nice and cool while you meet our adoptable pups and support your local animal shelter.

You guys!

Willa, now Evie, was adopted!! 🎉🤍

This stunning girl absolutely scored the dream home. Her new parents spotted her online, came down to meet her, and instantly fell in love. 🩷

Despite a heartbreaking past that included being left behind by her first family, Evie has remained incredibly resilient, loving, and strong. Not only was she abandoned, but she was also dropped off at a shelter where her time had run out ⌛️ We stepped in and made the drive out to Modesto, CA and brought her to Joshua Tree for a fresh start 🌟 🌵

And LOOK at her now!! 🐾

Evie gets to be the spoiled only pup with a huge beautifully manicured yard to run and play in, plus two experienced, active parents who love her.

From overlooked to completely adored — exactly the ending this girl deserved.

Happy life, Evie!!
