Please enter your address in our service area map at https://animalcare.sbcounty.gov/serviceareas/ to see if your pet qualifies. During the event, please bring a photo ID to verify your residency. If your photo ID isn’t current, a recent utility bill can also be used as proof of residence.

Services Offered:
• Free pet microchipping
• Pet ownership resources
• Dog licensing: To qualify for the discounted licensing price, you will need to bring proof of your pet’s spay/neuter. Additionally, proof of a previous rabies vaccine is required to receive a license. If your pet does not have proof of a rabies vaccine, they may receive the vaccine at the event before obtaining the license.
• Vaccinations: $10 each (FVRCP, Rabies, Bordetella, DA2PP, Leptospirosis) If you would like to receive a 3-year rabies vaccine instead of a 1-year vaccine, you must provide proof of the previous rabies vaccination.

Frank (the Tank) is officially adopted!! 🩵 This little tater tot of a pup stole the hearts of this family 4 months ago! It was a journey to his “big day” (neuter) which is why we couldn’t share the good news until now.

But when we say he’s found “the good life”, we mean it! He has 3 human siblings he adores, a gentle giant brother-pup named Duke who is his bff, his own pillows to perch on, trips to the farmers market to see all of his other 🐶 friends, and even his own tuxedo 🤵🏼‍♂️(swipe left) which he wore on his big day 😂

He even gets to enjoy the coolest nickname in the world when he visits the marine base with his dad…THUNDER PUG. 🤘🏼

Yep, this boy now has it all! 🥳

Two wonderful pups transferred to us and as you can see, both are very under fed.

We are working hard to get their weight up and we need your help! If you are able, we need some wet canned dog food 💪🏼

Happy National Dog Day! 🐕‍🦺🐾
Luckily, we transferred a bunch of dogs from other shelters this week! Sadly, a few of the pups are pretty underfed, and we are going through tons of wet dog food to get their weight up!

A LOT of cans are needed (no kibble). This is what we’re using to help all the under fed dogs gain weight, and they’re going through about 10 cans a day! Poor babies!

WholeHearted Pets is only found at Petco and Purina Pro Plan is on Chewy, Petco and Tractor Supply Co. Any amount helps!

The pups will be so grateful! 🩷

Rosalee (nickname “Snicks”) got adopted!

You guys, this was a PERFECT MATCH. Long story short, (too late!) ~ This incredible Cocker-loving family fell into their first role as Cocker parents by total accident. They did a walkthrough of the home they now own, and in the house was a territorial Cocker Spaniel named Toby. The previous homeowner wasn’t going to be able to take him to her new home, and this family couldn’t bear it! They negotiated his adoption in the home purchase contract! 😆 Amazing!

They took Toby to the allergist and worked with a nutritionist to get his itching and ear infections under control, and worked wonders with his ‘tude! 😎

Sadly, their journey with Toby has come to an end 😭. Bit by the Cocker bug, and committed to rescue only, they didn’t hesitate to open their home to the sweetest Cocker in all the land…Rosalee! 💖

“Snicks” is looking forward to ditching her chronic ear infections and chillin’ with her adorable Schnoodle brother, King ! 👑

Get ready for part 2 of our senior cat adoption updates! 👴🏼 Hooray for the oldies!

We're overjoyed to share that Simon, our handsome 'Champagne Tiger,' has been adopted! 🐯

What a blessing! With his friends Gwendolyn and Garfunkel recently finding homes, Simon didn't have to deal with the transition being left behind for long. 🥹

Simon is one cool cat 😎 - calm, confident, and full of charm. He's always in the know! 🧘🏼‍♂️

We're stoked to see Simon snuggle up with his new brother Tony, a Main C**n with a similar laid-back vibe. Soon they will be sharing TV diners in their matching recliners! 😂

Cheers to Simey-boy! You're finally home ☺️

Animal Action League has posted their September Calendar! 🐾

Here's our SEPTEMBER 2025 Calendar.
Open booking for SEPTEMBER 2025 is on AUGUST 25th at 8am sharp.
Open booking for OCTOBER 2025 is on SEPTEMBER 22nd at 8am sharp.
You must call 760-366-1100.
PRESS OPTION #4 and LEAVE A MESSAGE.
We stop accepting spay/neuter requests at 9:00am (one hour after the lines open for open booking day) due to reaching our max number of spay/neuter requests for appointments for the following month. WE UNDERSTAND this is a very tedious, frustrating and time consuming task to get an appointment. Our phone lines will be busy and you will have to call over and over again and only 200 LUCKY individuals will get through in one hour. GOOD LUCK!!

Information regarding the types of pets we can’t spay can also be found on our website.
Vaccine and microchip clinics are held from 10am-2pm during spay/neuter clinics unless noted otherwise on the calendar. You DO NOT need an appointment for vaccines or microchips.
Please be advised we are a non-profit with ONE medical team without government funding. We have the right to refuse service to anyone who treats our staff or volunteers with disrespect. We also have the right to refuse any pet for any reason due to our small staff and mobile clinic size.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we are trying our best to cover a vast area that is in desperate need of our affordable services. Thank you for wanting to be part of the solution.
