This is the sad part. No more little faces and wagging tails in the morning. No more puppy kisses, no more puppy breath. This is the time when I think, “I don’t know if I can do this again.”
But it then I remember the joy, the love and how rewarding this is. It’s quite an incredible experience going through the birth and raising these little ones. I get lots of updates of these babies with their families, and I’m reminded of why we do this. All of our puppies have gone to amazing homes and will be loved beyond measure, and they were ready. We will always have a spot in our hearts for our puppies and even as I write this, my eyes fill with tears.
