Yesterday was a great day starting off Donations for the Solace House of the Ozarks!
I know our community can pull this off🤍
Your dollar is comforting a family while they wait for the unimaginable.
Alyssa’s grandmother passed away at the Solace House. Here is what she has to say about it.
“The Solace House holds a very special place in my heart, and this fundraiser means so much more to me than simply raising money. ❤️
My grandma was my grandpa’s main caretaker. As time went on, it reached a point where she could no longer care for him or herself the way she always had. During the last few days of her life, we moved her to the Solace House, and I will forever be thankful for what they did for her and for our family.
They gave my grandma a clean, peaceful, comfortable place to spend her final days. They provided 24/7 care, made sure our family had food, and gave us a safe place where we could simply be together, sit with her, love her, and wait without having to worry about everything else going on around us.
Then I learned that the people caring for these families are volunteers, and somehow that made what they do feel even more incredible.
That experience is when I truly realized just how special the Solace House is.
When a family is already facing one of the hardest moments of their lives, Solace House gives them something incredibly valuable: a place where their loved one can be comfortable and cared for, and where the family can focus on what matters most, being together.
I’ve personally seen what this place can mean to a family because they were there for mine.
That is why raising money for the Solace House means so much to me. Every donation helps them continue opening their doors and providing that same love, comfort, and care to another family when they need it most. ❤️
I will forever be grateful that my grandma had the Solace House during her final days” - Alyssa
