Well the surgical solution is fusing L4 and L5 and off work for 3 months. So trying steroid injection and physical therapy first. Start physical therapy on Monday and injection will be scheduled in a few weeks. Already scheduling a second opinion. So no surgery scheduled yet.

I have finally retired my original hydraulic grooming table at 22 years old. Just got my first electric grooming table in and goes much higher and lower than last table and should make my job easier on my back. It's lowest is only 10 inches high. And 41 inches at the tallest.

For my clients who have noticed my back issues the xray showed a slipped disc between L4 and L5. Now an MRI will be done this week to discuss options.

Last week I filled up my grooming van and it cost me $100 and that doesn't last me through entire week. That was at $3.75 a gallon. Now it is 3.99 a gallon and I need to fill up again. We are all living in a hard economic time all around. If this continues I will have to go up on my prices on April 1st by $5. So my hourly rate will be 75 plus tax. Bringing small dogs for full grooming at 79.50 total and tidy up grooming to 60 plus tax, $63.60. I was planning on the increase in January 2023 but might have to start sooner.

Eve has been doing my crew for a couple years now. They aren’t easy grooms and I am so very grateful she continues to put up with them. Today I mentioned my small senior Pom’s nails are getting so long I’m going to have to take her to the vet because I’m fearful of doing them because of her age and fragility. Eve has never seen her because I have always done them myself, she ( after doing my bratty other two) immediately offered to try to get them cut. With the help of my husband feeding the Pom treats, Eve had her done in less than five minutes! I am so VERY thankful that she took the time to help us out! And the Pom is especially happy that she is no longer walking on those nails 🥰.
