The 4th annual Don & Sug Wells Spay & Neuter Event through the Heart of Louisiana Humane Society is about to kick off!

On behalf of the Heart of Louisiana Humane Society and all of its volunteers and supporters, we want to once again thank Don & Rosie “Sug” Wells’ family for continuing this event.

The Wells family has seen Don & Sug’s late wishes out, which parallels with our rescues’ mission: Assisting displaced animals, & lower income families in the state through advocating & providing low cost spay & neuter assistance.

We hope this event will continue on in legacy of Don & Sug & this event brings awareness to all communities in Central Louisiana that spay & neutering of your companions will benefit our state & the thousands of innocent animal lives lost due to overcrowding of shelters & abandonment of them.

The 2025 HLHS event will begin on April 14 but available appointment dates will vary for different locations.

We’re currently offering spay/neuter appointments for just $65 per companion at the following locations!

• Winnfield Animal Clinic – Winnfield, LA
• Jonesboro Animal Clinic – Jonesboro, LA
• Natchitoches Animal Hospital-Natchitoches, LA
• Kees Park Animal Clinic – Pineville, LA
• Montgomery Animal Hospital- Pineville, LA
• Magnolia Spay/Neuter- Alexandria, LA

• Odom Vet Hospital – Farmerville, LA

Appointment spots are limited & will fill up fast.. So do not let this amazing opportunity pass you by.

All appointments are a first-come, first-PAID basis.

If you have more than one pet you need to fix, please fill out ONE FORM PER PET.
You will receive e-mail confirmation of your appointment and what time to drop off no later than April 4th. Alexandria/Pineville area appointments will also be directed to what clinic they will be using in the same e-mail.

🔴🔴 Also, All female dog & cat owners be prepared to bring an additional $15 to your pet pickup as this fee will be charged if the vet finds your pet to be in heat or pregnant at the time of the appointment.🔴🔴
