4 Stray Paws Ltd We are a foster based nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to helping animals in need. Thank you for following us and all the support. We hope to make a difference.

4 Stray Paws Rescue (formerly Joliet Community Strays) was created to help the feral cats in our area. We are noticing the issue has become more extreme since covid so we wanted to step up and help these cats get the medical treatment they deserve. This includes Spay/Neuter, vaccinations, microchips, and any medical issues that need to be addressed. We are working closely with Dr. Adam at Essingto

n Road Animal Hospital and the staff to treat these cats. However, it does come at an expense, so I am reaching out to the Joliet community for help with donations. We are a licensed 501c3 rescue organization.

Meet Astro:

Looking for a kitten who is equal parts cuddle bug, acrobat, and tiny chaos gremlin? Meet this handsome black kitten!

At about 10 weeks old, this sweet boy is current on all age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and ready to find his forever family.

He absolutely loves soaking up the sunshine and spending time watching the world go by from the window. When playtime is over, he's discovered one of life's greatest pleasures: snuggling under the covers with his people for a cozy nap.

His favorite toy? The laser pointer, of course! And like any growing kitten, he gets a serious case of the zoomies after every meal. One minute he's eating dinner, the next he's racing through the house like he's training for the Kitten Olympics.

This little guy would do well with other cats or as your one-and-only feline friend. A cat tree is a must because climbing is one of his favorite hobbies. He loves to perch up high and survey his kingdom.

And because he's a classic black kitty, you'll often catch him arching his back, hopping sideways, and bouncing around the room like a tiny Halloween cat year-round.

💔 Priya was only 12 hours away from being euthanized when we pulled her to safety.

She did not know how close she had come to losing everything. She only knew that she was finally safe, and that she had eight tiny babies depending on her.

Priya gave those puppies everything she had. She cared for them, kept them close, and helped all eight grow into healthy, thriving babies. Now that her puppies are growing and preparing for futures of their own, it is finally Priya’s turn to be cared for.

Unfortunately, Priya has tested positive for heartworm disease.

You would never guess it from looking at her. She is happy as a clam, sweet, playful, affectionate, and fully committed to carrying around the occasional stolen slipper. But heartworm disease is serious, and without treatment, it can cause permanent damage to her heart and lungs.

Between her testing, medication, treatment, and follow-up care, Priya’s medical expenses will total approximately $2,000.

This girl escaped euthanasia by hours. She raised eight beautiful babies. She has done everything asked of her with patience, trust, and an enormous heart. Now she needs us to protect that heart.

Meet Butter. 🖤🤍

Last year, Butter’s littermate died suddenly. So when Butter’s adoptive family noticed that he was lethargic and struggling to walk normally, they knew something was very wrong and brought him in for help.

The testing pointed toward FIP, a devastating diagnosis that once offered very little hope. Butter immediately began daily injections, and after just one week of treatment, he is already doing better. He is brighter, stronger, and moving more normally. Now he is expected to continue treatment with medication for approximately three months.

The medicine and follow up labs will cost close to $1500-2000, but this treatment gives Butter a real chance to recover and remain exactly where he belongs, at home with the family who loves him.

Butter’s family should not have to lose him simply because lifesaving treatment is expensive. With your help, we can cover the cost of his medication, support him through recovery, and keep this beautiful boy in his loving home.

🚨 Warning: Sick Kittens🚨

These are some of the kittens currently in the care of 4 Stray Paws Rescue. When they were found, they had been trapped inside a garage and separated from their mother. She could hear them, but she couldn’t get to them. 💔💔💔

By the time they were rescued, they were severely dehydrated, starving, and suffering from some of the worst eye infections we’ve seen in kittens this young. Several were barely able to open their eyes. Some were so weak that we honestly weren’t sure they would survive.They required around the clock care for several days 😢

Since coming into rescue, these babies have required weeks of intensive care. They’ve received multiple medications, eye treatments several times a day, antibiotics, supportive feeding, and countless hours of hands-on care from dedicated fosters. Every day has involved cleaning painful discharge from their eyes, monitoring their hydration, encouraging them to eat, and simply helping them stay comfortable enough to keep fighting. Right now there is only one healthy eyeball out of all four babies 👁️

The good news is that they are finally showing signs of improvement. They are gaining weight, becoming more active, and beginning to look like kittens instead of tiny survivors. But their journey is far from over. 🙏🏻

🚨Urgent Fundraising Needs🚨

Several of these kittens have suffered significant damage to their eyes, and we still do not know what their long-term prognosis will be. Some may require specialized veterinary care, and there is a possibility that one or more could eventually need eye surgery or even eye removal. We are doing everything we can to save their vision and give them the best quality of life possible. ♥️♥️

As you can imagine, the costs add up quickly. Between veterinary visits, medications, prescription treatments, supplies, and food for growing kittens, their care is expensive. We never want finances to determine whether an animal receives the care it needs, but we do rely on the support of our community to make rescues like this possible. The goal is to get babies like this healthy for their forever homes 🏡

The Charm Litter is 11 weeks old and READY for their forever homes! 🐾💛

They had their second round of shots and were absolute angels at the vet — giving us their best “puppy whisperer” faces in the wagon. 📸✨

Two of the pups (Bloom 🎀 and Rune 🐾) have already been adopted, and the remaining five are ready to GO‑GO‑GO into summer with their new families! ☀️🏡
