I take my time to ensure quality grooming and a positive experience for your pets. Often times pets can become stressed out during the grooming process if they are rushed through. This also increases the chance of injury to the pet and something being missed during the groom. I strive to create a positive grooming experience for your pet so they can return to you well groomed and happy. It also al

lows me the opportunity to get to know your pets and decide the best approach for them. Like people, our pets all have their own individual personalities and handle situations differently. While there are some who do better being worked straight through, many others do best with a slower approach if they're not groomed often, and some need breaks here and there such as senior pets. A positive grooming experience makes for a happy pet and a happy owner!!

Now is a great time to schedule your kitty for a good bath and shed-less treatment!! This is a time of year kitties are blowing coat as they get ready to grow in their winter coats. A bath and shed-less treatment will help remove that excess dead coat, as well as help to keep them from matting during a heavy shedding period.

The 4th of July will be here very soon!! If your neighborhood is anything like mine, people usually start setting off fireworks the weekend before and continue in the days following. Make sure your pets are prepared!!

Just kidding! Angus is a Scottish Fold with very tiny ears folded close to his head and he's looking much more sophisticated after his bath and shed-less treatment ❤️

It's shedding season!! Pets everywhere are shedding their winter coats preparing for the warmer weather and many need extra help getting it out. Depending on a cat's coat type, texture, and density they can be holding on to a LOT more fur than you realize. Left unchecked this often develops into impacted and matted coats that become uncomfortable and don't allow any air movement through the coat making them feel hotter. Regular grooming with the right tools, bathing to clean the oils that trap the hair from being able to release, and blowing the coat out are the best way to keep kitties happy, comfortable, and mat free.
Gus, a British Shorthair known for their round, expressive faces and thick, dense coats, is looking exceptionally dapper after a much needed shed-less treatment ❤️

I just love a good clean up!! Mom was worried she would have to go naked due to matting, but thankfully the majority of it was still loose enough and she was tolerant of letting me carefully work it out so I only had to spot shave a couple small areas. Matting in cats is most often the result of dead coat and oils from the skin creating a sticky surface that the coat can't release from, so it continues to build on itself eventually forming tight matting. The last photo shows all the dead coat that was making up the knotting in her fur that couldn't get out that would have resulted in needing to be shaved if left unaddressed and without a proper bath and groom to remove the oil buildup on the skin and coat.

Shedding season is fast approaching and already started for some! That's not two cats side by side, that's the pre-bath comb out of dead hair even on a 5 week bathing schedule 😱!! Regular bathing, combing, and blow out keeps the skin and coat in good condition, keeps the hair around the house to a minimum, helps prevent matting, and helps to prevent hairballs.
