🐈‍⬛ FUN CAT FACT FRIDAY 🐈‍⬛

🥛YOU GOT MILK?🍼

Although your cat may want to ask this question, your answer should be no. Many cats are lactose intolerant and should not have cow’s milk or goat’s milk. Their bodies were not made to break down the milk enzymes in other animals milk. In fact, their bodies change as they grow and are weaned away from nursing on their mother. A kitten no longer produces the lactase enzyme around the age of 8-12 weeks.

How about Almond milk? This is a safe alternative for many people, however it is NOT for kitties.
~⭐️~ A safe alternative would be a cat specific formula, which is sold at many pet stores. There are even cat specific milk treats specifically formulated for cats only. 😻

New Hope is looking for fosters (and adopters)...Yes, we have kittens if that is what you wish to foster, but for you more laid-back folks, we have two of the best boys whose foster is moving, so they need a place to go. They are so easy and gentle, healthy and about 2 1/2 years old. Raymond will kiss your nose lightly each time you enter a room where he is, and Cheeto will watch you carefully for about a month, then greet you with loving leg wraps each time you enter a room where he is. They are love. Their prior two owners had situations where they geniunely could not keep them. They dearly love their foster, but they need to move yet again. They are beautiful and perfectly behaved. Please let us know if you might be able to foster or adopt these boys. They don't know dogs at all, and Cheeto is somewhat reclusive with other cats. He is not shy after the intial period with only his fosters and Raymond, or with people he has met before and trusts. So... we are looking for a special family, couple, or person to to show them as much love as they will give... and that's a LOT. Contact us if you can help.
