What is the biggest way to make a positive impact for cats in our community? Hands-down, the answer is fostering.

No matter how many donations a rescue receives, it doesn’t matter if they have nowhere to send the cats while they wait for their furever. Fostering is how you can help the most.

Fostering is a great option for anyone with these questions:

🐾 Ever wondered what it’s like to be a foster?
🐾 Been thinking about adopting a kitty but just not sure?
🐾 Have a little extra space in your heart and home to help cats in need?

There are so many cats that need help, and rescues can’t handle them all without fosters.

As per usual Andrea is poking cats. It's not enough that she does it all week at the WCJC Animal Shelter - Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay Neuter Clinic, she also volunteers after hours. This beautiful lady, Mama was picked up at the ReStore by a person that thought she needed to be rescued. They didn't realize she was a permanent member of the ReStore family. For real, check out their website, Mama is on staff.

Andrea inserted her microchip & she is now registered through petlink.net as an owned cat. Andrea is also going to help get Mama in for vaccines next week. You know what this is right? IT'S A GOOD DAY FOR CATS!

After a whirlwind 48 hours of trying to keep a smile on a young lady's face, Tenny has said his See Ya Laters to everyone at Boops & Beans Cat Cafe. No they weren't planning to adopt while visiting Kingsport. And they were definitely not prepared for plane travel with a cat. But I learned that Gracelyn is not easily persuaded once she is committed. And her mama took every step to get Tenny on a plane to Colorado tomorrow. And we couldn't be happier!

Special thank you to B&B for caring for our boy! Thank you to Ketron Veterinary Clinic for making space on your schedule to rush a health certificate. And thank you Joe A Magiera Jr for get Tenny back & forth to the vet. It was a lot of moving parts but they all fell into place. Now newly named Gus Gus gets the best forever possible thanks to Amber, a dedicated & loving mom. And I guess we have to extend my least a little appreciation to the dad, Gill (closet Cat Daddy).
