2,000 acre ranch Community in the Hill Country

The Preserve is a gated ranch community located in Johnson City, Texas an hour west of Austin and an hour North of San Antonio. The Hill Country community consists of only 66 total homesteads on a 2,030 acre ranch with underground utilities, paved roads and unique amenities. Rather than a small park or greenbelt area, the community offers 1,500 acres of preserved open space. This land is made up of meandering creeks, stocked fishing ponds and 22+ miles of trails. The open space also provides a privacy buffer between the 5-7 acre, non-contiguous homesteads. In addition to the 1,500 acres of common area/open space members also enjoy a community clubhouse and bbq pavilion, swimming pools, tennis courts, putting green and equestrian center.

The Preserve is home to young families, vacation homeowners, retirees and out-of-state winter Texans alike. The annual HOA dues are applied towards staffing, the upkeep of community amenities, road and land maintenance. A full time staff and concierge make visiting the ranch comfortable and easy, offering a turnkey, lock it and leave it solution to ranch ownership. Members enjoy 22+ miles of hiking, horseback riding, cycling and fishing on 1,500 acres just out their doorstep without the hard work and for a fraction of the cost.

While a herd of Texas longhorns roam the ranch and a team of horses are available for member trail rides, the Preserve utilizes a wildlife classification for ag-exemption. This offers members a tax benefit on all the land except the 1 acre building site. As part of the wildlife management program the Preserve HOA staff is hard at work improving wildlife habitats and enhancing natural resources on the ranch. Dedicated to land stewardship, 12 of the 14 homes built to date utilize rainwater collection for in-home use. With no required time to build once you own land at the Preserve, many owners use the ranch for a recreational refuge from the busy pace of Houston and Austin.

Few homesteads remain available offering breathtaking Hill Country views from high elevations, nearby trail access or creek frontage. With no two homesteads alike due to the Preserve's diverse terrain, a tour of the amenities and overview of the ranch typically lasts an hour.
