I remember this night so vividly, exactly 4 years ago. It was the prettiest we had seen the clubhouse and my youngest took the opportunity to practice playing the piano against the sounds of the ocean waves. I walked through the halls feeling swept away in a Hawaiian Christmas version of a Jane Austen novel. This building would have been 100 years old this Christmas. And the history of the land in Puamana goes much further, it used to be “Kauapaupili” meaning “the place where the rain stops.” A dividing line of weather, now the dividing line of the Lahaina Fire.

Who knew cobblestones are so comfy?!? Really though—the former gymnast/athlete mentality in me just kicks in during your photography session. 🤷♀️ That said, I am always a little envious of other female photographers who can show up in a dress and still slay their session. But I can also accept the fact, that isn’t me. 🤸
