Marley needs a forever home. He is a black lab mix approximately three years old neutered male 58 pounds UTD on vaccines. He has irregular gray markings on chest and a small portion of his lower jaw. His owner has been put in a nursing home, and can no longer care for him. He’s a sweet boy that needs somebody to love him. He is currently residing at Town and Country Pet Sitter until a suitable home can be found. He has a permanent injury to his right back leg because he jumped out of the owner’s moving vehicle. He holds it up when he runs, but he does not seem to be any pain and he can walk on it. Can you find room in your heart and home for this sweet boy. Call 615-299-0131 Today!

National Walk Your Dog Week takes place from Wednesday, October 1st to Tuesday, October 7th. What a great way to start National Pet Obesity Awareness Month! The week-long event aims to encourage dog owners to walk their dogs daily to combat canine obesity and promote health and well-being for both pets and their humans.

Why is it important?
▪ Regular walks help prevent and manage weight gain in dogs.
▪ Exercise provides mental and physical stimulation, which can prevent unwanted behaviors stemming from boredom.
▪ Shared outdoor time creates a deeper connection between a dog and their owner.
▪ Daily walks are a vital part of a dog's overall health and can contribute to a restful night's sleep for both dog and owner.

How to participate:
• Take your dog for a daily walk to enjoy the sights and smells together.
• Consider joining or organizing pack walks to provide exercise, training, and socialization.
• If you don't own a dog, you can volunteer to walk a friend's or neighbor's dog.

Does YOUR pup enjoy a good walk?

Due to no fault of his own, I need to rehome my dog, Bentley. His birthday is April 18, 2024. He is fixed and is all up to date with his vaccines. He is house trained, crate trained, and plays fetch and is very smart. However, he is not good with small children. He gets along well with other animals. He is an australian shepard, border collie mix so he is high energy and needs daily exercise. The rehoming fee is $75.00. You can contact me at 1-931-218-1427

‼️Why We Strongly Recommend the Leptospirosis Vaccine‼️

Leptospirosis is a serious and potentially life-threatening disease that affects both animals and humans—making it what’s known as a zoonotic disease. It’s caused by bacteria found in the urine of infected animals and can be spread through contaminated water, soil, or direct contact with infected pets. Even dogs that live primarily indoors are at risk, especially after heavy rain or flooding.

Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect your dog—and your entire household—from this dangerous illness.

Recently, this hit close to home. Our own veterinarian, Dr. Jason Kennell, likely contracted leptospirosis from a contagious patient. He was hospitalized for five days, after battling symptoms for nearly a week. This has been a sobering reminder of just how real and serious this disease can be—not only for your pets but for the people who care for them.

We can’t stress enough how important it is to vaccinate. It’s a simple step that can prevent significant suffering for both pets and people.

Finally, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful clients who have been so patient and understanding while we adjusted schedules. Being down Dr. Jason and allowing his wife, Dr. Kaci, time to be by his side meant some changes in our daily operations—and your support has meant the world to our team.

Thank you for trusting us with your pets—and for being part of our extended clinic family. 💙💙🐈🐕
