This bears repeating:

Please know that when we TRAIN DOGS we are asking the dog to change his nature. According to the rules of nature dogs are programmed to bark, be reactive, smell, chase and chew things. It is up to us to puppy proof the home so the things he does by nature don't ruin the things we worked so hard for and cherish. Please remember that to bring a dog into the home requires patience, training, tolerance, and the willingness to accept the dog for who she/he is and to not ANTHROPOMORPHISE the dog. The dog is a dog and not a baby or little man or person.

I would like to discuss something that has come to light not once but a few times in that last months. This is a short blurb on the canine diet.

I want to stress that dogs need protein in their diet. There are many ways to supply this protein. There are good quality kibble sources, freeze dried raw choices, frozen raw choices, hybrid choices with kibble and freeze dried raw together in one morsel, and there is home cooking for dogs. I am not going to take a stance on what is best for you and your pup.

The important thing I want to highlight is the fact that dogs ARE NOT VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN IN NATURE AND SHOULD NOT BE FED A DIET THAT NEGLECTS TO INCLUDE A PROTEIN SOURCE. To put is bluntly: YOUR DOG WILL DIE OF MALNUTRITION if you insist on treating your dog like a human in giving it a vegan or vegetarian diet.

Please make sure your dog is fed well and has enough protein calories to sustain life.
