People often ask me- how do you get your crested so big? Answer- I don’t; I have super small hands 🤭 This female looks monstrous, yet she is only 43 grams. She did just eat though so her belly is very rotund.

Dinner time! When I get to the last 1/4 of a bag of food, I’ll start mixing it with the next flavor to transition. Some geckos are picky and won’t touch a new brand/flavor after they’ve been used to another. I rotate all my geckos between Pangea, BPZ and Blue River diet- all flavors except for the Pangea breeding formula (grey bag). These are also all the brands I sell at expos, so when people bring home their new gecko it’s already used to the diets. Today is wet food for adults and bug night for babies/juvies, Chahoua and Tokays!

🚨 Nifty product alert!! 🚨

I got this feeder insect dispenser, made by ReptiZoo and finally got to try it last night during bug night for the gecks! Previously, I’d been putting bugs inside a medium deli cup with calcium which was kind of pain because crickets would always jump out when I opened the lid. This new product was definitely worth the purchase, costs under ten bucks!
PROS-
*easy to use
*all components unscrew for easy cleaning
*calcium is kept in a separate compartment from the insects
*adjustable opening of the lid to allow a few insects out or a lot
*locking base so the compartments don’t accidentally come apart during use

CONS-
* the calcium clogged the vents pretty quickly, so not much was coming through to dust the insects. I ended up just putting the calcium in with the insects in the main compartment

Overall, not bad with only one CON! Definitely good to have on hand!
