Steve's update!
After it came to light that some of the batches of Quest cat food were not holding the levels of thiamine expected, Steve's decided to do a deeper nutritional analysis of all their formulas. They opted to tweak them by adding in, among other things, nutritional yeast (in line with their food based nutrients) however, they discovered that in the short term they could not secure sufficient volume of a quality that satisfied them, so instead of being out of all food for 8-12 weeks due to that delay they have opted to add a pre-mix vitamin pack that does contain some synthetics to allow them to continue production. That being said, this is entirely a temporary measure until they can secure the product they need to replace the vitamin pack. Each product produced with the vitamin pack with have a sticker on the bag to show the ingredient list of exactly what is in there, and again will be replaced with a new sticker when that formulation if finalized and replaced with new nutraceuticals While the timing is unfortunate for us as a retailer and you as a customer this transparency is what made the decision to onboard Steve's to B2G an easy one. The new formulas are shipping this week and we should be able to secure patties very soon. Nuggets will follow in a couple of weeks once the patties have shipped nationwide.
