Doggone Spoiled Dog Sitting, LLC Love and play while you're away! Dog sitting in my home. It was then that I realized I needed to pursue a dog business.

I stumbled upon dog sitting in 2005 when I needed to make arrangements for my beloved dachshund, Bailey, while I went on a vacation. I was "that person" who typed out an entire page of his routine so his caregiver was able to keep him on schedule. It was not until 2010 that I began to dog sit full time. Along with the dogs, I have a husband and 2 young boys. I was beyond fortunate to have a suppor

tive family and an amazing friend/volunteer to help keep it all running and growing as smoothly as possible. The dogs come and live in the house with my family. They are able to enjoy the fun of playmates with the comfort of a home environment.

Sammi fell severely ill this morning and crossed the rainbow bridge tonight, just seven short weeks after Vinnie. Duke is the last man standing. These 4 dogs were the best dogs I’ve ever had. It is going to take some time adjusting.

Well this post is happening way quicker than anticipated. Vinnie went downhill quickly, as I anticipated, and he will cross the rainbow bridge tonight at 730. I've never lost a dog to anything besides old age and this is a pain that is unimaginable. I have had some people ask so here is the story
6 months ago we went in for annual checkup and his prostate was enlarged. Doc was concerned. Said for neutered males infection or cancer. So we treated infection for 6 weeks. The only symptom was p*eing in the house. Fast forward to maybe 3-4 weeks ago and I noticed he was having difficulty p**ping. Then realized his p*e was spurratic. Took him back in and he was given 2-4 months ... that was 2 weeks ago. Up until yesterday he was feeling great but now he is uncomfortable groaning. Thinking he has to use the bathroom at all times he is awake. His tail is being hinged funny because he is basically in pre p**p position. Yesterday was a long day and I can't watch him to continue because it will just keep getting worse. He is currently drugged on pain meds and sleeping comfortably in my bed. I'm snuggling every moment I get.

I have some news! My sweet Vinnie has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. As of now he is feeling great but will only be with us for 2-4 months. It will decline quickly. As you know, he is my little man and I am suffocating in sadness. I need a dachshund! So we welcomed this little peanut today. We haven't decided on a name, possibly Luigi.
