We are seeking a special new forever home for this big dude.
"Trunks" is a 1 year old, ICCF registered, Italian Mastiff (Cane Corso) pup. He's super playful and extra loyal. Unfortunately he is struggling with some resource guarding behaviors and his owners opted to return him. We will be EXTREMELY selective with who we allow to take him.
Absolutely no children in the home. And no other pets unless you are comfortable crating or separating until he's been trained through his issues. We have 6 other dogs and he plays well with them. However, I would not trust them alone without supervision. We have been caring for him for about a month now and the only aggression we've seen is when he is eating (in his crate) or has his toys (in his crate). We will be looking for a new owner that is willing and has the resources and commitment to enroll him in a formal board and train with a trainer that has experience with large breeds and resource guarding. We believe that he has an amazing personality and some great traits that will allow him to become someone's gentle giant. He just needs a formal foundation.
He will come with an extra large crate, collar and leash, muzzle, food bowl and some food (we use Diamond Pro89) and his toys.
