It’s going to be a nice day today, and we all know we could use a break from the back to school madness.

Come on out to Lonesome Dove Drive Thru Safari and Sanctuary to visit up close with many amazing species from all over the world.

Enjoy the drive thru, petting and walk thru, or even some of our amazing rescues inside of the gift shop area. You’re guaranteed to make some memories and share a few laughs.

We are open 10:30-4:30 last car in and we close at 5:30. Located at

The park and its animals made it through the quick moving storm last night, but we lost this beauty of a cypress tree in the aftermath.

It was not only a source of shade but it sat on what was once the old railroad line that ran through this property decades ago and for that reason, I know she took many stories with her.

But God is still good and Sunday will still be a beautiful day. We hope everyone else made it out okay and didn’t sustain any significant damage. 🙏
