May’s short life was almost ended at its very beginning. It was her last day before she was scheduled to be euthanized. And it wasn't May’s fault. There was nothing wrong with her. Just the simple fact that she was born by pure breed Weinmereiner mom, but wasn’t pure breed herself. May was an OOOps puppy, and her dad was a Labrador. As it often happens, when pure breed Weinmereiner is breed not with a Weinmereiner, but with another breed, the puppies are born black, instead of grey-blue. May was the classical example of that – she was born black. And because of that she was brought to a killer shelter. Being there and being a big black puppy and after no one claimed her within 7 days, she had to go forever.
Maybe it wasn't that big of a tragedy in a Universal scale, but it was the end for the small Universe of May - the little Weinmereyner and Labrador mix.
But, sometimes, when everything looks hopeless and you think you reach the bottom it actually means your falling down just ended and what you consider as the bottom is really a starting point.
This is what exactly has happened to May. We were not able to deny a hope to live to this little kid. So this is how May ended with us.
Now, when you are looking at her pictures, you wouldn't believe that this smart and nice looking kid may not have been walking on this earth by today.
But May is safe now. And she is really appreciating this fact. May is fully enjoying her life. She is still a little baby – only five months old in a great physical shape and bursting with energy. May is fast, playful and very optimistic. You would think she knows that all her troubles are behind and from now on she can hope for a real happy end.
May is friendly both with people and other dogs. So, she will be OK as a second dog, but she also wouldn't mind being the only spoiled baby of the family.
May will be a big size dog when fully grown. She will definitely need daily exercise and a safe place to run around. She already likes to play and will run without getting tired. May loves children, loves to play with them a lot, but definitely would be better with older kids because of her size.
May is a very sweet and intelligent dog. She will definitely make a strong bond with her owner.
If you are looking for a fast and active dog, which will be your best friend, loving pet and tireless playmate, maybe you could consider stopping by and meeting May?
