🚨 Emergency Foster Needed 🚨
We are in an urgent situation with two litters of kittens who need immediate foster placement.

🐾 Litter 1:
4 kittens, just 2–3 weeks old. Their mama has abandoned them, and they are not weaned, so they will need bottle‑feeding.

🐾 Litter 2:
4 kittens, 4–5 weeks old. These babies are a bit older and easier to manage, but still need a safe foster home.

If you can help either of these litters, we would be so grateful. These little ones cannot stay safely in the shelter at this age — they need warmth, stability, and dedicated care.

💛 Baby Girl’s Doggy Day Out 💛

Baby Girl got to go on a doggy day out today! She was the perfect lady in the car and in the store, gently approaching people for pets and being especially sweet with the children she met. For being such a good girl, she even got to pick out a toy — and enjoyed a pup cup on the way back to the shelter.

This was a banner adoption week, and it couldn’t have come at a better time! A whopping 37 matches were made, and we couldn’t be happier for each and every one of them.
With overcrowding being such a constant challenge, freeing up even a little space — even for a short period of time — helps our remaining residents and our staff breathe a little easier… literally. The relief is real, and it makes an enormous difference in the day‑to‑day care we’re able to provide.
Thank you to everyone who chose adoption, to our incredible volunteers who show up with heart and grit, and to our amazing staff for staying the course and remaining steadfast in our mission.

💛 Your Donations Truly Make a Difference 💛
Thank you to everyone who donated to our medical fund last month when we asked for help. Because of you, Stellaluna was able to undergo the surgery she needed after her ear flaps were mutilated at the hands of a human. She has since been adopted and is doing wonderfully.

This adorable pup is Pepperoni — Stellaluna’s littermate. He came to us with a badly healed broken femur. Thanks to your support, he received corrective surgery last week and is now recovering in the loving care of his foster.

When we say your donations make a difference, we truly mean it.
You help us save lives, relieve suffering, and give these animals the futures they deserve. 💛🐾

Please help us reunite these dogs with their families.
1) Female with a microchip that was never registered found on Mill Street in White Pine.
2) Intact female, no microchip, found in the 600 block of E. Broadway Blvd. in Jefferson City. She appears to have had recent surgery on her rear left leg.
3) Intact female, no microchip, found on Bluff Road near Big Bend in Strawberry Plains.
