I know that there are several friends whose hearts ache . . .
Losing your pup, your best friend on four legs, is a grief that never ends, the silence that's left behind is deafening, even when you have or get a new pup that silence that emptiness, your best friend is still always there 💔🐾💔

It's that time of year . . . If you're hot, imagine wearing a fur coat. On their own, out in the wild the Coyote, Wolf and other hairy critters know to stay still, find shade and water during the heat of the day, our pups don't have that in**ed knowledge they rely on us to make sure they are taken care of during these blistering hot days. Leave them home, in the air-conditioning or with fans and cool floors . . . Sure, they love to go places with you, but if they are left in a car, are not with you, they are safer and better off at home. Always make sure they have clean, cool water.
Time means little to dogs, fifteen minutes may feel like hours and hours can feel like minutes, in any case your pup will always always be happy to see you when you get home ❤️🐾❤️

There's no real timeframe, every living creature carries fears and some just take a little longer, but when they hit that time when they feel safe, they trust and love again, it is so worth the patience through the struggles ❤️🐾❤️

"I couldn't do it."
I hear that a lot. And I do understand. People need to understand, without fosters pups are stuck in shelters, and more likely than not, on death row, rescue can't do it without fosters!
You are helping in so many ways that will open your heart. You get to help a pup know they are good, they are loved, they learn to trust again and you get to see them bloom as they race to meet a new friend or another pup . . .
Most importantly, you make room for another pup to be rescued from an unsure future ❤️

Yea, it hurts to let them go to their next stop on the way to their happily-ever-after or if you're lucky you get to meet their new and forever family . . . and you know they are going to be fine, they are going to be loved and that's our purpose our mission in life. I may not be able to do as much as I would like to or as much as I once could, but I can help whenever, wherever possible ❤️🐾❤️
Those tears as you watch them drive away, they're I'm so glad I had the chance to love you, to help you and look at that happy face 🐱

Take care of your best friend,
No long walks in the heat of the day,
No car rides for them to wait in the car while you run inside "for just a minute" . . .

Take care of your pups, leave them home in the AC, they'll be ecstatic to see you when you get home! Then you can play in the sprinkler or their own baby pool together ❤️🐾❤️

⚠️ Reminder: don’t leave your fur babies (or fur-less babies) in the car! It’s way too hot outside and heatstrokes can happen in as little as 10 minutes ⚠️
Keep your dogs at home if you cannot take them in with you! 🐶
