Adoptions include spay/neuter; de-worming; age-appropriate vaccinations; microchipping; heartworm testing for dogs. Adoption fees:
Dogs ............... $125.00
Puppies.............$200.00
Cats ................ $40.00

Donate-time, supplies, or cash. Each and every donation is appreciated. By far, the biggest outflow of money is to pay our veterinary bills. Many animals coming into the Pet Adoption Center have serious health issues and DCHS is committed to providing the highest level of care possible to them.

We have a need for 2 foster homes for some unfortunate pups.

First up is Maci Mae. She is a 10 year old Chi mix whose owner has been admitted to a nursing home and won't be returning. She has had Maci Mae most of her life and has nothing but good to say.

Second up is Snickers. Snickers was adopted from us originally. He is a 14 year old Pom/Shih Tzu who is blind and is in need of a Fospice home.

If anyone can help or knows someone who would be willing to help foster these dogs, please submit a foster form on the DCHS website. We would love to be able to help these pups!

With all of the sad news circulating around about Enzo passing from heartworm disease, we wanted to share some good news from one of our previously heartworm positive dogs, Azalea!

Azalea received her heartworm treatment last year and is now heartworm free!! This girl has been in and out of our care for over a year.
Adopted and returned more than once.

Why?
Azalea is an energetic girl. She needs an energetic family. She needs a home without other dogs. Although she weighs less than 50lbs she is a stinker to other dogs. She loves to run and she will run if she can.

What we love about Azalea is her sweet personality. She is so loving. She is amazing with children. And although we always say she is energetic, she is one lazy girl in the office.

We were hoping that Carol would find a home quickly when she came to us but she has now been with us for over a month.
Carol sleeps 23 hours a day. She’s an easy gal with minimal maintenance. She just needs an elderly persons lap to call her own.
