Adoptions include spay/neuter; de-worming; age-appropriate vaccinations; microchipping; heartworm testing for dogs. Adoption fees:
Dogs ............... $125.00
Puppies.............$200.00
Cats ................ $40.00

Donate-time, supplies, or cash. Each and every donation is appreciated. By far, the biggest outflow of money is to pay our veterinary bills. Many animals coming into the Pet Adoption Center have serious health issues and DCHS is committed to providing the highest level of care possible to them.

🚂➡️🏡 Talk about a comeback story…Max is absolutely THRIVING in foster care!

After surviving being hit by a train and undergoing a rear leg amputation, Max has proven that nothing can slow him down. This tripod boy is healing beautifully and living his best foster life! 💙

According to his foster family:
🐱 He LOVES cats and happily lets them cuddle up with him
👦 Neighbor kids don’t bother him one bit
🚽 Zero accidents in the home
🏃‍♂️ And despite only having 3 legs, this boy can MOVE when he’s ready!

Max can be a little unsure of dogs getting in his personal bubble, but honestly…we feel the same way towards other people, Max. 😅

This fun-loving guy is ready to trade kennel walls for sunshine, snacks, and adventure! 🐕☀️

You don’t have to commit to adopting or fostering long-term to make a shelter dog incredibly happy. A few hours out of the shelter can mean the world to dogs like Alphie. ❤️

Tomorrow from 9AM-12PM, you can stop by, pick out a pup, and treat them to the best day ever!
🐾 Take them for a walk
🐾 Grab a pup cup
🐾 Cruise around town
🐾 Let them soak up some love and attention

Riley arrived in our care today and is as sweet as pie and a ball of energy. While she isn't fully adoptable yet, we are looking for a foster home for her so she doesn't have to stay in the shelter.

We are so lucky to have sweet visitors like Cora that come and volunteer their time reading or just loving on our animals.

Meet Delilah — tiny momma, big heart, 23 pounds of pure sweetness 💕

This sweet girl has officially retired from motherhood and is now accepting applications for:

According to her previous home, Delilah is wonderful with cats, kids, AND other dogs. Honestly, she sounds fake…but we promise she’s real 😂

We think it’s Plum Wild that nobody has applied to adopt our very own Plum Wild!

Plum Wild is a calm girl that loves to lay in your lap. She is quiet and she is now lonely since her brother was adopted today.

Plum has lived with other cats. She has never met a dog. Young children are a little scary to her.
