We've noticed that our kittens have been distracting folks from our posts lately, so these guys are censored while we wait for some much needed help! 😹

Our biggest needs right now are:
🍼 KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer)
🥫 Wet kitten food
🐱 Non-clumping litter

These little ones require special care, and lots of love & support before they’re ready for their forever homes. We provide all supplies to our fosters free of charge, which means all donations from our community directly help support every kitten in care. 😻

Donations can be dropped off directly at the shelter or shipped to us directly to 4700 S County Rd G, Janesville, WI 53546. Thank you for supporting our tiniest residents. ❤️

❤ Before the numbers, we have to celebrate something extra special this week... ❤️

Several of our long-term residents finally found their forever families! These pets waited patiently through months (and in some cases over a year) of shelter life, watching other animals come and go while hoping their turn would come. This week, it finally did.

Last week, 45 pets found loving homes! That includes 14 dogs and 31 cats. Plus, 6 lost pets were reunited with their families.

We're especially excited for our long-stay residents who finally packed their bags and headed home. Their journeys remind us why we never stop believing that the right family is out there for every animal, no matter how long it takes. HSSW’s Muttley Crue Run Club is back again this summer to get our community out on our trails and practice their trail running! The cost is $60 for 8 weekly sessions starting on Tuesday June 9th. The sessions will run from 6pm-7pm each meeting.🏃

Included in your registration fee is coaching by our very own UESCA certified running coach (who is also a certified ultra running coach and a certified endurance sports nutritionist!) and a year-long pass to our Trails Club (normally $25 on it’s own!). It's National Donut Day & what better way to celebrate than signing up for our 4th Annual Donut Dash on August 1st - even Roxi can't stop thinking about it! 🏃🍩🐶😁

Join us for our 4th Annual Donut Dash at the beautiful Skelly's Farm Market featuring a delicious 5k and 1-mile run/walk! On Saturday, August 1st starting at 8am, participants of all ages will have the opportunity to race/mosey through Skelly’s 6-acre sunflower field, scenic nearby roads, and strawberry beds, with an apple cider donut waiting at the finish line. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome!

Signup includes a race bib with time tracking (thanks to Velocity Multi-Sports & Cycling), admission to the sunflower field, and an apple cider donut at the finish line. Race T-shirts will be available again this year for purchase ($20) with 100% of proceeds benefiting pets going home. A significant portion of ticket sales will also benefit HSSW, as well as $1 from every non-race participant sunflower field admission that day!
