Flora Friday! 💛 California Golden Yarrow. These guys bloom in spring and summer out here along the chaparral mountains. They are such a vibrant addition to our native plant community. Yarrow has a long history of use in herbal medicine, including but not limited to digestive issues, wound care, and fevers.

Tack room appreciation! It’s been one year since we moved our horses into our new little mini barn and pasture set up down by the house, and with that came our new mini tack room! (We went from having three tack rooms with space for 30+ horse’s gear to just our 2.5 horses and their gear!) It’s darling and I love it so much. I’d eventually like to add art or something to the walls but it’s made me happy for the last year as is. Fun fact: the “hutch” here that contains our equine medicine, supplements, fly spray etc was built by my husband DJ almost a decade ago as a headboard and nightstands! Love repurposing things.
