A great week working on horses in western Colorado. From sunshine and amazing views to snow, every part was enjoyable.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that heaven gained another horseman last night. Larry Whitesell passed peacefully in his sleep at home, surrounded by those who loved him. Larry had an amazing ability to not only work with horses but the extra talent of being able to teach people how to work with their horses. Him and his wife Connie didn’t have any children but always felt like my extra set of parents. If you ever were around Larry and my daughters Kaitlyn or Taylor were brought up you could see Larry’s eyes light up. He was their world and they were his. His ideas and his work with horses will continue on through those he worked with. Trust me, you will hear his voice when you ride, or remember him chasing you with a flag, or just saying some of his simple phrases like “it’s so simple” or “ride the horse not the saddle” or possibly “stop looking at your horse, I’ll let you know if he disappears”, oh and how could I forget “ride forward!”
He will be dearly miss ❤️

We had a wonderful fall clinic a couple of weeks ago at Nicole’s farm in Pierson, MI.
