Good afternoon!
We wanted to remind everyone this is a holiday week. We will be closed On Thursday July 4th.
Please refer to our website for 24-hour emergency locations.

Our large animal veterinarian Dr. Hill will also be out of the office from July 3 - July 7th. She will not be taking any ER calls during this time. Please refer to our website for large animal emergency coverage. Dr. Hill will return Monday July 8th.

We also want to remind owners to take a look at your pets' prescription inventory to make sure you have enough to get through the holiday. Especially for those pets that need their medication for anxiety during fireworks, thunderstorms, or other loud noises.

We wish everyone a happy, fun and safe holiday!

The answer to Tuesday's trivia. If you answered that heartworms are spread by mosquitos you are correct! Heartworms most commonly infect dogs but can infect cats and ferrets. Unfortunately there is no treatment for cats or ferrets. Though we can treat dogs it is a painful and expensive process, and the damage to the heart and lungs is permanent. Prevention the best way to avoid your pet getting sick.

Good afternoon everyone!
We highly value our patients and clients and want to continue to keep everyone informed.

As many may already know, Dr. Britney Hill is expecting and due mid-December. Dr. Hill plans to be out on maternity leave for the months of December, January and February. Several surrounding veterinary practices have agreed to help cover any of the urgent care needs during this time. If an emergency is to arise, please call our office and we will direct you to the appropriate veterinary hospital for your area.

In the meantime, if you need any annual routine care or medication refills for any of your large animals, please give our office a call so we can get your needs addressed prior.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

At Jaffrey-Rindge Veterinary Hospital, we highly value our patients and clients, and we want to keep everyone informed on upcoming plans. On September 27th, Dr. Glen Chip Grier is scheduled for cardiac surgery. The expected recovery time is three months. He will be out of the office and have limited duties during this time. Dr. Grier is planning on returning full time as his health allows.

Dr. Britney Hill and Dr. Tracy Meehan will continue to provide care for our large and small animals. However, due to the extreme difficulty in finding additional temporary relief veterinarians, we expect a decrease in surgery and appointment availability.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
