Not a day trip from our home base in the south-east, but one worth taking. Got a chance to visit the surrounding area too, But this happens to be my favorite snowboarding spot for now ( sorry Breckenridge, still luv ya). I recommend staying in the Casinos down town because it's walking distance to the nearest ski resort (Heavenly) and you'll be right dab in the center of everything. Also Tahoe gives a lot of bang for the buck compared to other big mountains trips I've taken so far. if you have time you can take a few hours to visit other nearby attractions like we did in the video. try to coordinate to see the fire falls at Yosemite in mid February every year (lasts about a week and a half)

Biltmore Estate is a historic house museum and tourist attraction in Asheville, North Carolina. Biltmore House, built for George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately owned house in the United States. In addition to the house, the 8,000-acre estate is home to forested trails and beautiful gardens, which include one of the country’s most complete collections of azaleas.

We suggest visiting in fall when the the trees are most colorful (these pictures were taken Thanksgiving day 2018. Make reservations to stay and visit the restaurants. Enjoy the stables,winery and groves while visiting.
