We have a client that has been fostering a momma cat and her kittens for the past several weeks. The babies are coming in for their first vaccines tomorrow and will be ready to find their forever homes! There is a black male, a tabby male, and a female tortishell! Let us know if you would like to take one of these adorable playful babies home!

Momma Kitty, and adorable black and white tuxedo, will also be looking for her forever home as well. She was a stray that will do best in a quiet home, as she is just getting used to the attention from people. Please contact us if you are interested!

Attention Clients!

It has come to our attention that there is a nearly identical PetDesk App that is a scam. This fake app will ask you for credit card information when you download it. The app we use will NOT ask for any financial information to use it!

If you are unsure which one to download or need help, you can use your phone to scan the QR code on the previous post we made, or call our office and we can send you a link to download.

To any clients that may have registered their pet's microchip through a company called Save This Life, you may want to check your registration through a third-party site, such as www.petmicrochiplookup.org .
The company closed down abruptly and all registrations appear to have been deleted. If this occurs, you can find another registration company and re-register your pet's microchip under your name.

We have only ever carried HomeAgain and Petlink microchips here at the clinic, and we have only registered through HomeAgaing for our clients. So, if you had your microchip registered through us, you should be fine.

However, we have a number of clients that have moved here from out of state and who have used other services to register, so we wanted to make sure you were all aware.

Pet microchips help reunite lost animals with their owners. A Texas company suddenly closed, leaving pet owners worried about their pet's welfare.

Update on Mr. Doug:

We learned about 2 months ago where Mr. Doug came from. He has been a yard dog about a block from the office for several years, that frequently left the yard. After finally making contact with the owner, he has been picked up a few times and returned to the office again. The last two times he found his was back to the office less than a day after being picked up and this last time the owner was notified and stated that he would pick him up after he got off work, which was approximately 6 weeks ago.
Mr. Dougie has been abandoned. He loves people and deserves a loving home. He has spent the majority of his last 8 months in a kennel as we are not equipped to house a dog here long/term as we are a very busy facility who only had kennel staff a few times a day. He gets so excited when it’s time to go for a walk and he can get attention.
He is not a good fit around cats, as he is very fixated on them, and will need someone to work with him if they want to have him around other dogs.
He has become much less reactive to other dogs while he has been here, but we have not let him run free with anyone.

Dougie-boy would love to meet you! Even if you just want to come by and play with him for a bit!

We have had multiple tickets with animal control since the day he first showed up, but have had no success yet, and all rescues have been full.

If you know someone who might be interested in this boy, please let us know!

Update:

ADOPTED!!!!

We have a very special kitten up for adoption consideration. She will be a special needs case.

Ms. One-eyed Willimina was brought in for euthanasia as a found stray a week ago because of an eye injury.

She has a previous break in her tail that appears to have healed, just a little crooked. And her right eye was partially ruptured and scarred down, so it is very small and job-functional.
She was very dehydrated and covered in ticks when she came in, but that is completely resolved now.
Now for the special needs part: She has cerebellar hypoplasia. Most likely, her mother became sick while she was pregnant and it caused the fetus’s cerebellum(balance center of brain) to have limited development. Because of this, she is very wobbly and unbalanced. Most kittens learn to adapt quite well, but each one is different. She maneuvers quite well until she is excited, then she kinda flops like a fish. (Food time is the most common cause, but who wouldn’t get excited.)
Some cats and dogs may attack a cat that flip-flops, so care would need to be taken until you know how your pet reacts.
She loves people, and belly rubs.
If you would like to meet her, let us know or stop by.
