My name is Matteo Laconca and I am the new owner of Next- Door K9 Solutions of Jacksonville. My passion for dogs started when I was a small child. We weren’t able to have a dog growing up so I decided when I had a house of my own I would buy a dog. In 2019 I bought my first dog Kooda. I noticed very quickly that he had a severely fearful personality. This prompted me to go on a deep dive into dog training psychology and dog training and I began training him myself. I made a lot of mistakes and continued to learn along the way but I was hooked. After training some friends dogs and several more puppies I decided that I wanted to pursue dog training full time So in 2021 I started my first internship and in 2022 i attended a Detection/ Patrol dog trainer course where I got my first working dog Rony. I got out of the Marine Corps soon after to Pursue dog training full time and compete in protection dog sports with my new dog Rony. I have been blessed to have some of the best mentors in the dog training industry who have taught me an immense amount of knowledge and I am excited to continue learning and continue growing.
